Police outside Space?

I think that they're checking is everything is corect with that new "outside music regulations"...
bastard!!!
 
They occasionally like to check pockets outside Space and DC10 (since their marathon parties often inspire use of chemical assistance by punters). It's possible they're trying to make an early-season statement.
 
Their always there in force at the beginging of the season. Scare tactics. Give it a few weeks and it the police presence will die down.

I can confirm that were a lot of cops around Space in the morning. I got my 'nads felt ( :( ) but luckily I was "clean" and was sent on my way.

They'd completely gone by 1pm, but at 8.30 this morning there was a bunch stopping cars on the Salinas roundabout (which leads to DC10).

8O Are they allowed to do this? Was this to everyone or just a random selection?

They are. i've been lucky but a friend has been searched. And yes, it's pretty random.

If there's no female police or bouncer they can't search you
 
There were female police officers. And bouncers too, but the search isn't so thorough in the club.

The police searched everyone in the morning, and no-one in the afternoon.
 
I might be thick here but what happens if you are searched and the find something :?: When I watched that doco on BBC a few months ago they said that you were issued with a caution/fine :?:

Some people would pay good money for that. ;)

Wonder if the cops will be there this Sunday (when I plan to go for the first time), not that I'm likely to be carrying any contraband. ;) Any other clubs/places the cops keep a high presence at? Didn't see any last year, but then I wasn't at many big events...

A 'friend' tells me that certain substances are relatively hard to find in Ibiza. Apparently, it's much easier on the mainland... Try Benidorm. 8O
