please help me with ebay

im rubbish at ebay, the whole thing scares me

when i put a maximum bid in does that automatically mean thats what i will pay?

so if currently there is something in with a bid of £30 and i put in maximum of £100, what will happen????

no the maximum is just what you will automatically bid up to.

So, if your item is currently on £10, and you are winning with a bid of £10, then thats all you will pay, even if you've put your maximum bid on £200.

Your maximum bid is the highest you should expect to pay. If no one else bids and it is currently £30 you will pay around £30. But only if no one else places a bid. Start bidding when there is only about 30 secs left

i love ebay sniper attacks, doesnt always pay off though. but i dont understand why people stick in a massive bid on the day an item is listed, its just silly and less fun.
