Playa d'en bossa or ibiza town?

This summer first time in Ibiza.
Where should I stay, playa d'en bossa or ibiza town?
Who can tell me the difference. I am not going to ibiza to visit the big clubs.

ibiza town: very lovely atmosphere, lots of shops, cafes and restaurants. dalt vila is a must see. you'll have to walk a bit until you get to a beach.

playa d'en bossa: directly at the beach. everything made for tourists. definitely more for clubbers.

you said you're not going to ibiza to go clubbing. if you can tell us your main reason why you want to come to ibiza people on here will be able to give even better advice on where to stay :)
 
playa d'en bossa more places to stay longest beach on island.its only a bus ride 10 mins to town or you can walk it.of course people in pdb are in a holiday mood.town is really for shopping and eating.town is fine if you like the hassle of cars etc crowds.dear drinks as well.nice cool bars and lots of eating places to be had below dalt vila.
if based in town tough you far better off as you can get a bus to almost anywhere.
