Am going to Ibiza with my family , wife and 2 kids, and stopping at the Playa Bella Apts in San Antonio Bay. Have read some decent reports about , just wondering if anyone has any experience of stopping there, also any recommendations for any decent restaurants nearby. Cheers WW.

I'm going here mate at beginning of July - cant wait!

I'm the same - heard brilliant reviews but I suppose we can only go and find out for ourselves! :)

When are you staying there?

Am going in August from the 12th for 17 days. Just hope the weather improves.I'm sure the reviews won't be too far off. Have some friends staying in the Milord which i think is next door. You will have to let me know how it goes .Cheers WW.

Stopped there a few times and will be there again 25th July. They are not fantastic but they do the job and centrally located for the bay and ferry to San An.

Like you say as long as they do the job and are ok for me and the family. What about somewhere to eat is there owt decent nearby.Cheers WW.

The restaurants are much the same in this area - cheap and cheerful.I tend to go into town although Winch's is pretty good and also a nice little bar.

Just round the corner from playa bella is a place called Oasis i think its called that, the food there is fantastic they do a cracking steak.

I'll be there 6th - 20th july :D

Thanks for that , nowt like a good steak,am looking forward to going only 8 weeks now. Just hope the apts are good otherwise our lass will have a face like a slapped :!: Cheers WW.

playa bella

we are heading to playa bella on 25th july also. was wondering if many families will be here. first time going here and want to know if there will be alot of families there at this time. we picked these apts as they say they are a family place.how far a walk to san an town?

It is mainly families who stay here. It is quite a walk to San An but the ferry runs from the next hotel (Milord) for 2 euros and is much more relaxing.

Very family-friendly place with lots to keep the kids amused. The restaurant and snack bar is incredibly good value for money and spotlessly clean. If you like pizza try a Bahia there. Excellent!

playa bella

thats great to hear that mainly families there, as we wouldnt like to be the only family there ha (kill joys) ah how far is quiet away of a walk lol that sounds like its far. would it be more than 30 min walk or more . i was told when we booked it that its a 20 min walk to san an. i dont mind the walk by day but it might be a bit much by night when headin to the pubs lol have to get plenty of drinks in too ha. does the boat taxi run alnight:?:.only 30 days to go yipee cant wait to see new place as we have only ever been to canaries.

It is about 30 mins walk into San An, definately not less. The boats finish before midnight but there is always plenty of taxis which are about 7 or 8 euros. There is also plenty of bars in the bay to keep you going if you don't fancy the walk into town.

Looking forward to hearing all the reports on this place.Like others i booked it because it seems like a family place hope this turns out to be true.

Downside of this place is there is a sewerage plant right out the front on the beach so there is a constant smell of sewerage depending on which way the wind blows. Also this place isnt elderley or disabled friendly, the hotel is built on a bank with relatively steep paths either side, the way onto the beach is also via a number of steps so unless you have an electric wheel chair your knackered.

The main street outside the back of the hotel is very noisey on a night with a number of very late takeaways, I remember staying across the road in the riviera apartments some time back and was constantly woken at 4 oclock, if you on the front over looking the beach you will be fine though.

Families will love this hotel as this seems to be what its aimed at although the entertainment is very butlins with a karoeke just about every night. Good location for buses (stop right outside), water taxis (pier right in front of hotel next to the milord). Look out for the one way system outside of the hotel where you have to go around in a big circle to get to the town.!!

Theres a large arrage of bars from younger 18-30 style across from the hotel to typical family pubs with bullbars and all that stuff you get at blackpool. Restaurants are the same really, large number in the near vicinity as well as the all night kebab shop right on the corner of the hotel
