it's become fashionable to snipe at non irish peeps for jumping on the bandwagon on saint patricks day.

well... i ain't christian but celebrate christmas, not black but go to notting hill carnival, not gay but go to gay friendly clubs and not spanish but gimme a fiesta any day and i'll party on.

And i don't like guiness either but a party's a party and i'm gonna go and get trollied.

Happy st patricks day :D

That's the most sensible post I've read all day!

Unfortunately I have to go to f.eck1n college tonight so I can't go out and get p1ssed with my fellow non-irish buddies

must admit im new to this site but compared to the other forums ive been on this is the only one where everyone is on the same wavelength and is the only site ive found a good quote about why people celebarate paddy's day,

every other site has just said "y do we celebrate paddys day but not st.georges"

good thread mate and i totallY agree, good excuse to go out and have a laugh, what more reason do u need than that!

Brum had its usual St Paddys Parade on the Sunday 13th (closest Sunday to St Paddys day).
I avoided it like the plague :x . It was yukky enough seeing chavvy "my niece's milkman is irish, so that means I am aswell", scutting up past Selfridges with their guinness beer guts, and faux irish getup. Minging  Those types make me ashamed to be of Irish decent.

On the lighter side God Bless my Irish Mammys relatives in Eire, failsafe every year post some Shamrock to her-half dead thing is in some water atm :!:
