Plans for the summer (?)

I know people have done threads like this before like countdown type of things but as its my last week at my current job (hurrah!) I am insanely bored and want to cheer myself up after getting back from Ibiza.

So what are everyones forthcoming plans for the summer, holidays, festivals, trips away?
 
Well, living in Manchester i have officially seen about 4 days of sunshine this summer so far. Were already half way through the season and its rained continually!
I am counting the seconds till i go to ibiza (Aug 9th), i'm only going for a week this year which is a bit gutting!
But due to our awful summer weather i have booked another week off work at the back end of October with the hope of getting a cheap week away somewhere so i will feel like ive had at least two weeks of sun!

Ibiza really cant come quick enough at the moment, im already in holiday mood at work and am continually putting things off and slacking!

That first beer at the pool is going to be sooooo good!

Other than that my summer plans are pretty limited! I have a long wk end in Essex on the 26th July.

Its the same here, rainy, cold, sun comes out for about 5 milliseconds then its cloudy again, oh so dull.

Now my Ibiza trip is done :cry: all I have is V Festival in Aug which will be fab as long as its not torrential rain as we are camping and Newquay for the bank holiday camping again if the weather permits.
 
Splitting up with TPMB, while sad, has reminded of how much life I used to live before I became one half of a couple.

Immediate plans include lots of clubbing and live music, starting with Mr Hudson and the Library at Westminster Library (see what they did there:lol:) on Thursday night and continuing with Lovebox on Saturday.

Ibiza features quite heavily with a week in August and possible September weekend(s).

My pet pub, The Abbey, will take up many of my Saturday nights and possibly some other rather special one-offs like last months Sunday morning 'Habit' after-party.

Other than that the run in to the football season starts with the onset of proper training tonight. I'm running the second XI (too old for the 1s now:oops:) this year so that'll keep me busy.

Plus two weeks after my break-up, I guess there's no time like the present to re-enter the sex wars, so I'm considering using the phone number I took on Saturday night and going on a date. *yikes*8O:lol:

My plans include, Ibiza, camping in Devon, Cornwall, being bridesmaid in Malta, catching up with friends in FLT, loft conversion, maybe fit in Bestival?????
 
Interesting thread :D Jealous of those going back/going later to Ibiza!

I've got:
- FortDance in St Pete this weekend.
- We go to London for 4 days in August for the opening game of the season at Chelsea and a Prince concert.
- Might also be tempted on one of these weekend "trips to the provinces" a fellow expatriate friend of mine keeps organizing.
- Lots of fun concerts coming up - Stereophonics, Nine Inch Nails, Basement Jaxx, Iggy Pop

Getting the barnet blonded
Just wish it would be sunny for once!
 
Many trips to Milton Keynes to practice snowboarding
Want to go Bestival but tickets have sold out
Camping in New Forest with friends
weekend visit to see Mum in Spain
Long weekend with family in Germany
I too want to go blonde! :)

well I bought some red hair dye today for some strange reason - hate my hair red!
 
The rest of my summer consists of:

Ibiza this weekend, recovery until the end of July.........:?!
R&R and Wedding Plans through August
September - Married life starts :D and the 2 1/2 week honeymoon to Las Vegas, Hawaii and San Fran.
From then on new job hunting, move house and make babies 8O;):D:D:lol:!

Life doesn't get any better at the moment :D!

ohhhh...summer dont ya love it.

Customary directors v staff cricket match on sunday heralds the start of the 'season' as we know it.

Everyone is going to see prince on this forum it seems, myself included - 3rd August for me, quick early morning train back & then its www.dpercussion.com on the saturday.

Then a couple of weddings, generally trying not to spend my money in prep for a 4 day jaunt in a certain baeleric island.8)

Felix da housecat @ WLS, followed by Cocoon closing.:):)

Then tears.:cry::cry:

Problem with this Ibiza thing is that you end up wishing your life away....
 
Stephen, I reckon you would have a better chance of achieving your goals if you re-arranged the order in which you accomplish them.

Videos on youtube would be interesting at the completion of numbers 1 - 4, although I am not in agreement with 5 having met the lovely Jaki:)




Sadly I have nothing much to post of my own for the remainder of the summer8O:!:
  • Various friends over for bbq's should we ever get any sunshine.
  • Camping in the lakes (Hawkshead) 27th - 29th July (heaven forbid).
  • Continue with house renovations in order to sell the thing before leaving to live in Ibiza.
  • Possibly the Hacienda do @ Sankeys for August bank holiday.
