I've said this on the other thred but just as a word of advice on this one also can't harm.

It's full of the West End crowd, friendly enough but not really for me. The horror stories probably are exagerated slightly. It was clean enough in the room we stayed in. I think the air con worked but don't quote me on that. Very basic, a place to get your head down, that's all it was for.

You will hear stories of people getting stuff stolen and bags raided etc. Just be sensible, take a few pad locks and you'll be fine. We left a laptop and passports in there on a daily basis all be it locked in the safety deposit box - make sure you get 2 keys for this, they do have them. The reason we used was that both of us would be coming and going at seperate times. There's also 2 room keys which you can get for an extra deposit.

Staff weren't anything special but nor were they rude. Have heard to avoid the lift of doom also which apparently locks people in. I think we used a service lift which was very, very slow.

Just keep your wits about you, don't stay there much, lock things away and you'll be fine.

Forgot all about that lift - do not under any circumstances use it!! I was on the 6th floor and always took the stairs after hearing so many people complaining at the front desk about it stopping for 20 minutes at a time - funk that

Lift got stuck between floors the one time we used it. Had a panic attack as a result.
Not a pleasant experience. Losing my Cream virginity to Ferry Corsten & Sander Van Doorn made up for it  (not that I remember anything from the club night)

Unless like certain Spotlighters, you need a laptop in Ibiza for work, leave it at home. Why risk ruining your holiday getting it bumped?

I take it everywhere I go, After a night out it's ideal for having episodes of Jam and such other weird **** playing in the background.

Just think if it were me and I lost something like a laptop I'd be devastated if it had personal stuff, photos, not to mention the hassle of claiming insurance etc.

In 2006 I lost my phone when I was totally ****ered, which itself didn't bother me, but it had all my holidays photos/videos and I hadn't backed up pics of my new nephew and family pics before my brother left to live in America, so, safe to say the last few days of my holiday were a bit of a downer every time it crossed my mind.

that's a fair point man, it's a kick to the groin when stuff like that happens. The only stuff I generally take with me is an old phone from about 5 years ago and the laptop I have probably isn't worth an awful lot, it's a back up at most.

I guess thats kinda understandable. My mates wanting to take his to Barcelona for Sonar and bring traktor with him etc. but i just think its crazy! Been trying to dissuade him (its his main laptop). A pishy mp3 player or some phones with tunes on them and some £20 2.1 speakers and you're sorted.

Sorry, total thread hijack.

To the OP, heed the advice, leave valuables at home and find a good stashpoint for passports, cards etc. on arrival and don't worry about it. It'll be pretty lairy but guaranteed you'll have a laugh and you want to spend the minimum amount of time in your room in ibiza anyway.

The pool area is crap, very deep pool though you can see omeone jump from the roof in to it's 3m of water on youtube if you search.
There was lots of banging shouting and fighting when I stayed there, the security guard walked around with a pool cue at night(not joking) in fighting stance. The food can only be described as slop, but it is cheap enough in san an anyway. I liked the view from the bar area watching life go by at the egg. And the vodka was a good medicne to cure hangovers and comedowns. Had that not been free I think I would of had one depressing week. The rooms were basic and air con worked for 3 days(felt glorious) then stopped and never got fixed :( safe wasnt big enough for a laptop only small items and cleaners were in daily to make bed and change towels. Went in the lift once, and never again! As already said, it was broke or being fixed every day
Thing is, if you are a loud, pouncy, scouse or essex type you will fit in well and have a great time. If not then book somewhere else.
