Right.

Ive turned on manually manage tracks in settings. But I cant seem to delete tunes that Ive put on this ipod Ive just got.

Anyone got any quick fixes? Ive got a million and one things I could be doing instead of fannying around with this JOKE!

Cheers.

itunes if a f*cking joke. I totally sympathise with your confusion! I hardly update ma ipod and dont use itunes unless i have too. A JOKE indeed!

The WinAmp iPod plug-in is the way to go.

Besides letting you manage your iPod better, it saves you from having to update your iTunes library whenever you want to add new tracks.

I've told you guys before. You should have bought the iRiver H10 instead.

.... but do you listen :lol:

Although iRiver has the iTunes equivalent, you can use the device as a drive and copy/paste/drag tunes onto it with ease.

Can you not do this with iPod?

If not, can't you just delete from from iTunes and synch to pull them from the player?

I don't understand the question but just thought I'd say hello Nish

I'm the most useless person at technocological things and I found my Ipod so simple to use/set up.

The manual setting has never worked for me so I keep it on automatic. I just keep all entries in the library unchecked. When I add new files to the library they are automatically checked and will transfer automatically; when I want to remove a file, I just clear it from the library - I plug in the Ipod and the checked files are tranferred, the entries I removed are deleted, and the unchecked files are left on the Ipod. I've moved up to the 30gig video model and have nearly maxed it out with video files; many of them are over 500 MBs each (Sugar Rush is over a gig and a half). When I used to leave everything checked the update was very time consuming because it had to read through every file that was on there; now it cuts to the chase and adds what I want it to add and removes what I want it to remove.

Have you tried this method? Is this the manual method? :? I don't know, it just works!

Ended up wiping everything as there was an error :x

Will try some of the hints given there though. Didnt know about a winamp plug in - Cheers peeps 8)

And Hi Sar

I topped up my boss's 60 gig and got errors galore; I just did the Ipod update, wiped everything clean and started over. Unfortunately, us consumers are the Ipod testers. And they have the nerve to not include a charger!
