Secret Sundaze @ Blue Marlin - Saturday, September 24
Red = Known Spotlighter
The Secret Sundaze support turned out in force for this particularly popular early evening gig. By the time we got there at around 10pm they'd been going for eight hours but showed no inclination to stop anytime soon.
The music from the dj with the large forehead was so minimal it could be called min. But who needs something as old-fashioned as melody when you've got a groove as insistent as a small child begging for McDonalds.
Police were circling around the venue in cars but didn't appear to be making their presence felt closer to the action.

Blue Marlin - September 24, 2005
Mulletover @ a villa near San Miguel
We left Blue Marlin shortly before the expected midnight shut down and were ferried north by our admirably sober designated driver. The Mulletover map was a little vague but then a blue balloon was spied and we followed a dirt track to the plush villa the East London-based crew (in town for a gig at the following day's We Love Space closing party) had hired for the occasion.
Noted for warehouse raves among other things, this was their first shot at an event of this nature in Ibiza. We had a little chat with Rob, one of the men behind the scenes, and got the following quotes:
"A lot of our crowd are the same sort of crowd as the Secret Sundaze crowd so people went down to Cala Jondal and then came down to the villa party after. I’ve never had so many calls on my mobile trying to find the exact location of the party. Everyone seemed to be ringing saying ‘Oh, can’t find it’ . But we managed to get most of the people there by about two o’clock. The cops came down about half two. They were all cool with everything. There’d been one of the neighbours complained about the noise and he came down as well and we spoke to him and we just turned it down. They did come down again about half past ten the next day and said ‘Right, that’s it now. Turn it off, leave it, pack up.’
