If Canadian band Hot Hot Heat were a wine you might say their lead singer has a Leo Sayer-like bouquet.

Steve Bays also has bouncy hair and a fresh and engaging stage manner, consciously developed after formative experiences watching “unapproachable” bands.
"It felt like if you weren't in the know, it was somewhat alienating,” he said to MTV.com. “It's nice to walk into an environment where people are having a couple more drinks than they normally would.”
HHH must have loved the ‘Mish on Monday then - all sorts were going down.
Their pacey tunes in particular were lapped up – campus hit Bandages from a couple of years back and Talk To Me, Dance With Me were the stand outs.
Given the raved-up nature of the audience, the Heat sensibly dispensed with gaps between the numbers, proving instrumentalists can mix as well as any deck-nician.
Afterwards Bays and band were looking forward to a few days hanging out in Ibiza. If forum peeps have any sightings, please post here. Steve at least shouldn't be too hard to spot.
