Paul Reynolds @ Kumharas 10/9

one of my fave local DJs and a super nice chap. He's playing space closing I think and if he gets to play el salon in the night, make sure to check him out for a bit, he's fantastic.

I was gutted to miss Melon Bomb closing at Pikes. I'm sure that was as amazing. Do you know anyone that went?

I arrived at Pikes at 12ish the following day and there were still a couple of people from the night before on the sun loungers.

Did you make it later on for Junior Sanchez? I have a feeling I may have spotted you but didn't want to walk up to a stranger and get blown out ;)

Yes, we were there. Third night on the bounce and we really enjoyed it as something different from the other nights. Like someone's house party, although quieter than I thought it would be at times, but good to have space to dance.

There were still folk from the night before beside the pool when we came back up for our Sunday Roast at 2pm.

Should have said hello!

Great little venue isn't it. Music wasn't really to my taste tbh but good all the same. Marco Loco drives me nuts (and always has, no pun intended btw) with the way he destroys tracks with effects and playing small snippets. The crowd loves him though.

Seen a few of Paul Reynolds sets over the years, quality DJ and very versatile. Not sue why he's never hit the big time. I guess it's not how good you are in the scene but who you are and who you know...

I was surprised with the technical ability of Marco Loco, over use of effects and then bringing the track back in late and some quick mixes in that didn't quite flow. Plus trying to keep two tracks together for far too long. There were a couple of tracks that were suspect, but still enjoyed hearing something different and funkier than over the previous nights.

Have you heard DJ Paulette play at Pikes before? She was playing in the Pool area for the day playing some soulful stuff. Really impressed by her passion and love for what she's playing.

Was you in a group of 4 with a blonde guy and 2 girls?

There was a girl playing on the Friday during the day who was great, lots of random Balearic and eclectic stuff and she was dancing about with a big smile on her face.

Did anybody else catch this set? We were so lucky to pick a random night to go to Kumharas and Ibiza Sonica turn up.

I had never heard of Paul Reynolds before - after 10mins you realised this guy was creating a moment. This paired with a beauty of a sunset. Big smiles all round.

This is why I love Ibiza.

This mix is a great find, its always nice to find sets online from when you were actually there. I had heard of this chap in the past but never checked him out. He seems to be right up my street with a liking for all types of "House" plus the Nu Disco/Edits scene, its rare that you can find a DJ that can spin well over different genres.
Thanks P
