I actually like the M-People Sasha rework better for the dancefloor (duck !!) .. but when the vocals go on and on in either the original or the cover, I do get "those thoughts" which are perfectly demonstrated by this ...

The Love Unlimited Orchestra track at the start is pretty pleasant - in an early '80s start-of-the-evening kind of way, but to be honest none of it really sets me on fire. Especially after being spoiled so recently with a feast of the 'real mccoy'.
Still think the best of the original '80s and even early '90s disco and house is the stuff which sounds best and also works best on the dancefloor
. Everything and its brother got labelled 'disco' in later years .. and most of it was a pile of shyt more and more old stuff being remixed yet again (as opposed to edited for 'playability') starts drifting well into the 'unoriginal' ... imho
