Parking fines in San An

I left Bar M last night to find an effing parking ticket on my scooter at the entrance to the car park opposite. 90 euros! And it was only done about five minutes before I left.

Does anybody know where you go to pay the fine and at what time? Is it like paying bills where you have to go to a specific bank between 8 and 10am on a Tuesday or whatever?

I'm still annoyed and if I knew how I'd appeal, but that would cost me more I'm sure. Pity, because I'd just had a great time at the opening of Ibiza Rocks.

Many thanks

you'll get 30% discount if you pay within 30 days. you can go to a bank (i think it says on the back of the ticket) or even better, spend a whole morning in the trafico office in i-town, while the staff walk round with bits of paper in their hands.

Thanks Stephen Unfortunately it doesn't say you can pay at a bank. It's either a credit card at the "Policia Local" in San An which I assume is the one on the road in from Ibiza. Or it's the "departmento de recaudacion de Sant Antoni." I guess that's in the town hall by where the bus terminal used to be.

oh. so you were 'nicked' by the local constabulary. i reserve all my motoring misdemeanours for the guys in green! your assumptions are correct re the location of these offices

I am I right in thinking your parked just outside the car park rather than in it? If so what would be your grounds for appeal?

It's more bother than it's worth to appeal, but it's annoying because it just isn't clear.

There's no line to show where the car park starts. The entrance is funnel shaped and there are no markings to say that you aren't allowed to park. And, although there's a 'P' sign at the entrance the car park isn't surfaced so there are no space markings inside. I wasn't blocking other vehicles or pedestrians...

Anyway I guess I'll head for the town hall as it's probably a little less intimidating than a police station.
