speak english :spank: you might get more replies :p

I can forgive the chav talk and will provide a reply.

Myself and some friends stayed in Club Paraiso back in 2002 so things could have changed since. Was a Freestyle hotel back then though we avoided the reps early on they left us alone to do our own thing. The hotel is actually pretty nice. Good sized pool (they sometimes had guest DJ's on), clean, air conditioned rooms, reasonable bars. Close to San An facilities too.

Security was the tightest I've ever known for a hotel even in San An though (where it can be notoriously tricky to bring guests back) - two meaty meat heads on the doors and pass cards to get past them ! This did tend to mean there was limited carnage going on which is sometimes a let down but pretty refreshing at 06.30 when you're feeling like death with sweat pouring off you after a heavy night.

awful sorry guys and girls...from now on, proper english! lol

Its a freestyle holiday that we are going on, are the reps a nitemare or wot?

C wen u say about the security guards, a friend told me if u are bringing ladies bac to the hotel, from them to get in, they need to show their passport....is that how it works?.

Also, the clubs in the westend...they any good?, wots the prices like for drink in them?.

Laff, I stopped at the Paraiso last year, great hotel and I'm back there again in September.

The only contact we had from a rep in our 10 days there was when one knocked on our door, to give us a piece of paper with the available offers on club tickets.

Much different to our hotel in Magaluf a couple of weeks ago, when the reps knocked on your door, rang your room and even went round people at the pool to make sure they all attended the 'Icebreaker' party, felt like being at school again!

You're right about the passports, any guests you bring back must show them. You also need to show your room key/card every time you enter the hotel.

Clubs round the West End are ok really, they take a lot of stick from some people on here, but I can honestly say in 10 nights over there last year I never saw any trouble. The best bars are probably Hush, SoulCity, Ground Zero, El Viper Bar and Hogans, its what you make of it, if you want a good time then you'll have one. Prices are okm really, plus you get all sorts of mad offers from the PR's, so depending on what you drink you should find places that suit you.

Thanks Deak, me an my mates were talkin bout the passcard thing, does each person in the room get a passcard?, mite prove a problem if only one gets handed out...the one holdin it could split up from the group, u know how it is.

Really lookin forward to ibiza, went to magaluf last year...was amazin!, best holiday yet, ibiza wil need to b good to top magaluf.

Another thing...is there a waterpark in ibiza?, how far is it from paraiso?.

Not sure about a waterpark, Laff, didnt hear of one, although I've heard different people mention one at Playa D'en Bossa, not sure how true this is though?

Regarding room keys, yes, each person gets their own key, so if youre more hammered than one of your mates one night and you choose to go back to the hotel early then you can. Also, to activate the electricity in your room you need to put one of your cards in a slot by the door.

The other thing about your card, if you want to buy any drinks from the hotel bar then you need to put some 'credit' on your card. Any drinks are then paid for with your card. Any remaining credit is refunded to you at the end of the holiday, so I understand.

i think the only waterpark is at playa den bossa, few of my mates went a couple of years ago and said is was ****e, i think its salt water too

was at paraiso 3 weeks ago. the security is still there so i dunno what the hell other ppl are tryin to say. we got hassled every night comin back and we were not allowed ANYONE back with us (they wouldnt let girls back with us a few times)

they also patrol the corridors and your not allowed any music on in ur rooms. you get 1 warning and then your out.

I have to agree mate, stayed there in 2004 and the security guards are a joke,it was 3 couples, i go to Ibiza every year and can safely say I would NEVER stay there again, the ****hole security guards threw our mates out for playing music dead low, cos they had the door half open to let the air blow through the room, they had the girls in tears and didnt care.I dont mind a bit of security for peace of mind but they were unbelievable

I agree with garlicpenguin, the security are a law onto themselves, people we met had a tap on the door to turn the not so loud music down(well not loud enough to complain, we are in Ibiza afterall), they gave them a lot of hassle and asked to see their passports, when they found out they were Irish, that was it, it was a constant battle.
I too would never stay there, I agree, you like to feel secure in your appts, but to be hassled by some glorified car park attentant who its plain to be seen could not get a job as a police man, bullies you 24-7 its not on.

Another thing they blast music into your room from the pool from 9 in the morn to 12 at night and complain when you play a little of your own.
We called it Alcatraz, i love ibiza, i dont like Paraiso(Alcatraz)

Going back in 2 days!!!!!!!!!!!
27th Aug - 10th Sept
Cant wait to get back home!!!

I went 2 weeks ago and had a blast. The room we had was tiny and balcony had a view of another hotel (great!). Bar is expensive, so use the supermarket for your drink. Bar staff are a bunch of monkeys. Reps are spot on, and pools were great. Pretty good location, not too far and not too near the west end. Security were great, always had a laugh with them ;)

You must ask for a pool view room! also its a 20 euro deposit per person on arrival.

Joe ;)

Cheers for the warning about deposit, was it best to get currency there or get it before, also was there anywhere in particular to go to get it changed or avoid, I go to Poland a lot(4 plus times a year) ( i know different altogether ) but the different is in thier currency i can get over here 4.20pln or over there its 5.85pln ) difference of 165 on the hundred, which is enough to wait to go for..
Cheers

We have got a poolview from our room, thank god!.

The thing with the security guards, suppose u just need to try and have a laugh with them and hope for the best reaction from them.

Cant wait to go!...went bac to uni this week, absolute ****e, last year so just need to get on with it.

Watched many videos on youtube from eden and amnesia...looks superb!.

Roll on july 2007!:p

At the Paraiso, whats the checking out like (for late checking out), I think my return flight is something ridiculous like 3am so will be checking out of the room and having stuff with us for a long day etc.
