pacha V space

to be honest i don't think you can compare the two clubs. I like both clubs. But they are different to one another.

yep thats it. you just said what i wanted to say! i love pacha for the global and as well my friends and myself always go there to have a drink. space is more like party hard which i love!!! sundays and monza!!!

asides from the club itself, pacha's music policy is heftily suspect
Perhaps it is suspect if you prefer to yawn, oops, I mean to listen to Wolford and Fanciulli all night.

If you enjoy the likes of Sanchez, Deep Dish and various Renaissance artists, like me, then Pacha has the best Mondays and Thursdays around. (and plenty of others enjoy Morillo and Tong, or the occasional appearance of Kenny Dope or Bob Sinclair on a Tuesday).

So, it all depends on your taste, and tastes vary.

Aside from that, I'm with Robo. Too very different clubs for very different events. I could enjoy an evening in Pacha just as much as an afternoon in Space, depending on the event.

Pacha is more of a brand that attract a certain type of people. They can put on a really good show, book some top dj's and have crackin nights.

If it came down to it though its always Space over Pacha. Id even pick the Space Terrazza itself over Pacha.

Yeah i forgot to add that the only dj's you will hear at Space are Fanciulli and Woolford, how unbalanced of me!
I only mentioned them because we all know they're your favorites, Phil ;)

unlike Pacha's music policy, which is just generally rubbish.
It's a matter of taste, and if you think Deep Dish, Roger Sanchez, Tiga, Hernan Cattaneo, or Little Louie Vega (these are the DJs I saw at Pacha last summer) are rubbish, then you are a very misinformed young man!

interesting replies, thanks. I like both too, but not been to space enough to really make a full judgement. I'd just noticed that there seem to be more critical comments about space that was the case maybe a couple of years ago.

listen to robo.

times change, music policies change and in a few years they will do a full loop.

5 years ago wooly was weekly ressie at pacha when basics did the zenith. i also have no doubt that if the right event developed he wouldn't hesitate in going back to pacha.

other examples, sasha returning to play at pacha with renaissance over the last couple of years after years of being a space exclusive/resident.

whether you like them or not roger sanchez, the defected DJs, renaissance, subliminal, defmix, sander k, pure pacha guests are all high calibre credible DJs/events.
