Few thoughts:

- Wednesday, Friday & Sunday are insanely good! We know Solomun is every week, would be good to know if Gerber and Digweed are every week (or near enough). Guy Gerbers night is what excites me most.

- Mondays look like electro trash, but each to their own, there must be a market for it. But how it will fair against stiff competition on a Monday will be interesting!

- Pure Pacha looks a good move. Nothing underground but makes sense on a Saturday for the weekend Pacha type crowd.

- Guetta pays the wage bill for the week probably so let's not moan if it helps give us other solid nights

^^ and there is a huge market for dutch electro scene with american, canadian and aussie youths at the mo..I think Gerbers will be the highlight this year.

Looks interesting. Pacha has been stale for the last few years. Wonder where Tong/Morillo will end up. There sets @ Space 2000-2002 were legendary 8O

"...
Tuesdays at Pacha will be FLOWER POWER.
The hugely successful night, previously only monthly

not sure if a weekly flowerpower is a good idea :?

I think it deserves its chance to go weekly.

It reflects the original ethos of the club and is a unique party for the Island.

I think it will help build the party, once everybody knows its now a regular weekly event, rather than its previous irregular program which didn't help.

It was so ridiculously busy every month I think it's a good thing to have it running all season. Not something you want to go to several times but this way holiday makers don't have to miss out... and the decos do make Pacha look amazing!

Agree with you.

I'm particularly looking forward to Friday nights with the likes of Lawler and Joris Voorn. Now all that I hope for is that a good and proper CLUBBING crowd also support these nights.

looks like i might actually go to pacha this summer! better start saving!

Wednesdays and Fridays look decent. Sundays possibly but depends on the overall mix for me - however decent enough. Good to see some quality returning to Pacha at last. It seems to me to be a credit-worthy move in the might direction by the club - and it can't surely end up more expensive than Amnesia let's be honest. I just hope they scale down the VIP sections on those days and return the club to a proper balanced and inclusive mature vibe. The commercial sellout has seen it degenerate from being a credible nightclub in my humble opinion for too long now. So I for one am very pleased by these announcements.

Mhhh... Don't know what to say about Pacha 2013...
- on the one hand nice to see the move to more quality instead of making money with (old) big names (Morillo, Tiesto)
- on the other hand would love to see more new talents coming in (just like Sankeys). Because INSANE fridays is in terms of lineup similar to last years "All gone Pete Tong" but without Tongy !
- question is: what about ticket prizes? IMO its hard to charge 50€ for Guy Gerber etc.
- Its going to be a tough race with clubs like Sankeys, DC10 wednesdays, Bomba to compete! Especially with underground house music!
- the "normal" Pacha crowd going to be surprised going in on wednesdays and suddenly realizing there is no Morillo in front of them! So PR will bevery important for Pacha this year!

There's only so much new talent you can exploit and Sankeys seem to be taking this route. Not one of the guests mentioned above played at AGPT last year, and with losing defected, Cadenza & AGPT i think it's good theyve kept a night with well known but still quality DJs.

Agree to a certain point, but All Gone had a balance of commercial and Underground dependent on the week.

Insane looks very much to be on the underground side of things.

My only slight concern is if Coyu (if he is the resident) can hold it together like Tong managed to. Think we need to get a little but more info on this night. I.e. how big a role will Digweed play in it etc, what is the concept behind "Insane" etc.

Still think Wednesday & Fridays are looking really good for them even with the competition about. Will be interesting if Tong rocks up at Ushuaia/BOMBA on a Friday, and if he goes more commercial or deep. Insane/Music On / (potential) Tong night make for some hard choices on Friday potentially.

I'm not only talking about fridays:
Saturdays is partly Defected (Bob Sinclair) and partly "old" Pure Pacha (what used to be fridays before AGPT) with a more commercial direction. And remember: Pure Pacha with Kleinenberg didn't work actually.
Sundays will be difficult to predict:
- Solomun twice a week could be too much
- only one guest and not very surprising names so far doesn't sound sooo interesting to me

Mondays going to be a preety similar electro-in-your-face sound like Tiesto but combined with Morillo.
Tuesdays Flower Power is nice, but every week????
Wednesdays could be indeed very interesting... But Guy Gerber as headliner? Sure, for us quality lovers it sounds awesome but question is, if there will be the perfect crowd for it! Obviously it aims towards the underground crowd which could also choose DC10 instead! Or thursdays Enter at Space. And many of them went already to Coxy at Space, so if they are willing to pay the "normal" 50€ Pacha prize on wednesday is IMO questionable!

And did I get it rigt that friday, saturday, sunday, monday, tuesday and wednesday is a Pacha In-House production?

Pure Pacha with Kleinenberg
Agree, never once did that really get going. Those inter-Tong years were pretty bad for Pure Pacha. But I really think the Saturday move will pack in the weekend crowd.

I want this to work so much, but may have to given it time to build and get established. My hope is he plays live each week. He is pure class are demands more respect IMO. Personally I think it's a different crowd to Paradise. Gerber is very serious, I'd say more a Kehakuma type crowd. It's a brave move for Pacha though and I really respect them for this choice.

Agree on this too. I don't think you can charge more than €25-30until it gets well established. But would Pacha do this?

Seems that way. Does that mean they can reduce the door tax then with less big promoters to pay?

Excellent comments. My initial thought was why is Flower Power weekly? Surely the ethos of the party is it is random? Dont think this will work. On the other nights, i look forward to having more room.

interesting discussion going on here with some really good comments. here's how I personally see it...

monday - looks like an electro-laden night indeed. the thing is, the youngsters seem to really love it. and the only real competition style-wise will be david guetta at ushuaïa that night. but of course monday is one of the strongest nights on the island with circoloco, cocoon, ASOT and the aforementioned guetta. so it will definitely be interesting to see how epica works.

tuesday - i still remember when flower power was just 4-5 times a summer and how absolutely rammed it used to be. and i remember all the people who always missed out because they weren't here on the right dates. now, in 2011 they did it by-weekly in peak season and last year, they already went weekly in july and august. and do you really think they would put it on weekly if it didn't work last year? as freakstar correctly said, it's gonna be much nicer to have a bit of room - flower power used to be as rammed as amnesia closing when it was only a few times a summer. and last but not least, flower power is the perfect night to reflect 40 years of pacha and is just something completely different.

wednesday - definitely the most interesting night music-wise for me personally. main competition will be dc10 and sankeys (music-wise) that night. it will be really interesting to see the full line ups, but i do like the direction pacha are taking with putting on a party like that.

thursday - no comment needed, never change a winning team.

friday - disagree about comparing pure pacha with insane. pure pacha was almost 50/50 mainstream and underground while insane will be purely underground. apart of this, the crowd will be completely different. at pure pacha you always had the tipical tong followers to a certain extent, no matter who the guests were. again, i love the fact pacha are doing something different and am excited to see the full line ups. main competition will be amnesia and ushuaïa (to a certain extent) that night, plus sankeys.

saturday - "new" pure pacha will be almost exclusively mainstream. and apart of matinée there is no other mainstream night on the island on a saturday (and matinée is still a bit different). plus, don't forget about all the locals who work during the week and only have fri and sat to go out. they'll also be happy to see some more big mainstream artists on their night out.

sunday - two things about the solomun discussion. first off, the dyinamic night at sankeys on tuesdays goes up against a few general biggies: coxy, together and the soon to be officially announced ushuaïa tuesday. so it's not like there's no choice for popular nights on a tuesday. plus, not everyone likes sankeys. most people either love or then hate it. so here's the opportunity to see solomun in another club on another night. of course, sunday isn't a quiet night neither with we love and more, plus I'm aware not everyone loves pacha.

generally, it will be very interesting to see how all the pacha nights work this summer. i agree that the new ones will need a lot of pr support. and even though we didn't get any ticket prices yet, i think there is a fair chance of attractive prices for those new nights. the guys at pacha understand the situation they're in now with such a changed programme and they exactly know about their competition. i also agree that some people will be put off seeing "morillo no more" at pacha, but on the other hand, as pacha is such a strong and iconic brand, there's also a lot of people who will go to pacha anyway, either no matter what's on, or then they'll just say "at least once in our holiday" and choose the night they like most.

also, and this is a bit off-topic now (just because of the solomun discussion), but as much as i love what sankeys have planned for this summer (underground house nights from monday to sunday), only time will tell if people are happy with such little variety if that makes sense. they definitely have their niche and let me be clear, david and his crew have put up an amazing weekly programme if you're an underground lover, but maybe it might be too much of the same really. i'd love to be wrong though!
