our friend FUSION says.....

I'd say that the parties in Ibiza aren't far enough removed from some of the parties in the rest of the world to warrant missing out on the sights of Ibiza which are far removed from most of our home sights and attractions and are definitely worth a visit.

Don't agree, got to have a bit of variety.
The Island is too amazing to sprend every waking hour in a club. 8)

The clubs are undoubtedly the reason I go back to Ibiza year after year, but they are more like the icing on the cake rather than the main reason for me going.

I am pretty lucky to have been a regular at cream and gatecrasher in there peak and so take going to "super-clubs" is a standard night out. I now go to Circus and Chibuku regularly which put on huge line-ups all month.

The size of Ibiza is what is key to me going back and the back that such a small place has such a high concentration of restaurants, beaches and bars. A super-club is my prefered nightout over bars when I'm in the UK and it's the same when I am in Ibiza. Ibiza just happens to have a plethera of excellent super-clubs.

When I am there I can take or leave going to clubs, maybe because I have been spoilt in the UK over the past 10 years.

עדיף להיות גבינה ולטייל ביום מאשר להיות גבינה בסאנדי וללכת לחדר עם רומן

:) i always thought that ibiza was just about clubing, until i came on thee forums,iv only been once and because im young(19)i rekon it is, but i can understand that the island is a really nice place,,just take the sunset 4 instance(and the cracking view of the island i had out of the plane window as we flew home), im sure as i get older an less up for clubbing every night then i will take time out to look around the island,,but at the mo its all about party party party.:)

Why should I ignore the beautiness of the island and be only on the parties?! I don't see a good argument for that and so I'll do "the site seeing / bar tripping / restaurant digging" now, as I'm 23 years old. :p

Fusion don't be so narrow minded :spank:

I like a mixture during my two weeks in Ibiza if I went out to a rave every night and one each daytime like our esident cyberkid I wouldn't get the most out of my two weeks in Ibiza.

Each to their own..

As Jam says, the clubbing side has lessened, but the naughty side still continues but in different surroundings......

I used to work on the 80/20 premise, clubbing 80% of the time sightseeing and restaurants 20% of the time when I first went to Ibiza, now its more 30% clubbing 70% going out and about and enjoying the Island properly (and related naughtiness).

In the past, I always took a 3rd week off work after a 14 dy bender in Ibiza, now I actually want to come home and feel like I have had a holiday.... 8)

....... and if I still carried on with the 80/20 rule - I wouldnt get back to work until a month after the holiday....:? :?

I must admit i always go with the intention of seeing more of the island, but then seem to just move from party to party!

Shocking i know!

Definitely a bit of both. Apart from daytime clubs I find the clubs in Ibiza no different from clubbing at home so I prefer to club in the daytime in Ibiza cos it's that bit more different and special.

I did the whole 14 day clubbing bender thing when I was younger and now I much prefer a couple of big club sesh's, then a night off and nice restaurants, beaches etc.

You can definitely do both the party scene and the sightseeing.

I think it's fun to party every night and see the island by day.

Except Sundays, of course, when we go the the Church of Space... and my new favorite Monday afternoon pasttime, DC10.

Other days, best to get out to the beaches, drive around in the hills, try to find somewhere interesting to eat out, etc.

or come to ibiza for a short while in the summer to party and a short while in the spring or autumn to relax

ive done it and its great.

admittedly, its a bit easier if you dont live too far from ibiza.

Every year = less clubbing for me
every year = more clubbing for me!

fusion is a 30 year old cyberkid. this needs to be taken into account.
I'm 27.5, but thanks for the 2.5 bonus years you've added me. you're kind today!

Now, Let me clarify a few things that should make you understand a bit why i'm so into clubbing in Ibiza;
The clubbing scene in my country nowdays SUCK (for various reasons which i won't get into right now), so the only good parties i'm able to experience are the ones i catch abroad. And where is a better place to catch some great parties if not in the mecca of clubbing itself - Ibiza!

I assume you all recall the saying:"each to thier own". Those who don't know it, should start memorizing it and look up for the real meaning behind this phrase.

As for myself - travelling across the country (island), seeing sights/antique sites/landscapes, eating in fancy restaurants, going to beaches, etc simply does NOT do it for me. Yes i enjoy it, but not even half as I enjoy clubbing, dancing, partying while listening to my favorite tunes played to the world's most cosmopolitan croud in some of the world's best clubs!

"each to thier own"?... now this phrase can come handy! :)

Furthermore there's another saying that goes :"Ibiza is what you make of it"... this is what *I* make of my Ibiza. You do what you wanna do, while i'll continue doing my thing!

Don't get me wrong, i did do my fair share of those things i mentioned i hardly have time to do when being on the island (travelling, sights/sites, beaches, etc) and i know as a fact the island is VERY beautiful and has alot of other great attractions, aside from clubs.
I can safely say after being 8 times in Ibiza that i know exactly how to combine evreything the island has to offer. Especially when i sleep 3 hours maximum every day, I do manage to go out to 1 or 2 parties and enjoy some other attractions on daily basis!

Regardless, I very often praise the island in the ears of those who haven't been to it yet, while telling them that it beats by a mile any other main tourism location in the world, and thats without even giving a mention to the nightlife.

Whatever you do (or don't do) - just have fun and if you're lucky enough you too will have the time of your life each and every summer in Ibiza like I do!

With all that said - roll on summer 2007...............
