Not a lot of surprises, in my opinion. Having finally gotten around to watching Brokeback Mt. last night, I still thought Crash deserved the best picture award. Happy that Ang Lee received the director's award for Brokeback, though, as the movie's strength was its directing.

I haven't seen Capote or Walk the Line so can't say much about the best actor/actress awards (though the clips of Hoffman in Capote look really well played) but I was quite pleased to see Rachel Weisz and George Clooney win as they both did great jobs in great films (Constant Garndener and Syriana, respectively).

I was torn on animated feature as I liked both Wallace & Grommit and Tim Burton's Corpse Bride (two very different films!). Glad to see King Kong get its dues in the technical department, which was its strength.

Anyone seen Tsotsi? Been hearing a lot about it lately and I'm intrigued....
