Hi all,

Is anyone here with Orange mobile. Reason I ask is I dont pay insurance on my phone every month but am I entitled to anything if my phone packs up? Its seriously on its way out and I dont think it will last to my upgrade date.

Can they offer to repair it for me?

if its internal, you should be ok... if u break the screen, then no!

Volume button doesnt work anymore so wont light up the screen and I cant turn anyone up when speaking to them!

Also turns itself off a lot.

If its more than a year old, you should be entitled to a free upgrade!! Phone them, their Customer Service for me has been very good!!

thinking of upgrading so i can get a nice new spangly camera phone before ibiza and actually get some photos in space this year...

they're usually pretty good at letting you upgrade a bit early - they want to keep your business. Give em a ring and find out what they say. Or ring and say you're leaving, then they'll give you whatever you want.

I am debating this to be fair and I pay them a LOT of money my last phone bill came in at a ridiculous month.

Technically are you allowed to say you want to quit, like if you REALY wanted to for whatever reason you could? Never sure how these contracts "really" work

I'm not sure how they work either - are you in a 12 month contract that is about to run out? If your phone is less than a year old it might still be under warranty? Not sure about that though... :?

I upgraded and started again last Sept, carried on my contract for another 18 months so I think I have to have the handset until at least Sept but it seriously wont last that long..................so if it did break for good what on earth would they suggest?

im thinking of either the nokia n73 cos it has a 3.2 megapixel camera, or the Sony Ericsson K800i for the same reason, plus they wouldnt cost anything with the contract.

They should replace it under warrantee or do it for £15 or something. I dunno - ring em!

I phoned them for another matter - turns out my free messages and calls had run out - but nobody failed to tell me that when I upgraded last - that they would only last for another 6 months WTF!! :spank:

No wonder my bills are sky high!

Anyway I managed to get a good deal for the next few months - well I was told once December comes up I can upgrade and become a loyalty customer - which apparantly is even better benefits

What a load of old tosh

Am so so angry about the treatment they have given me - whats that thing *Chewie* that I can complain on!!! Is it Ofcom?

I had a similar problem with Orange years ago when they took money from me by direct debit for something I didn't have, they did this for about 7 months before I realised so it was about £700 they had over-charged me, it was an absolute funking nightmare getting the money back from them - so many phone calls, letters, they just didn't give a $hit - I ended up having to threaten them with court before they finally paid it back.

Since then I've always just thought Orange = w@nkers :spank:

See this is what I am thinking - cos I pay direct debit and never ever moan they obviously think they can get away with murder!!!!!! Really takes the P it really does. I was so angry last night I was screaming down the phone.

She had the cheek to say to me did I not notice on my bill that I was not getting the free texts and calls anymore (apparantly they had run out after 6 months) I mean what the hell!!!!!!! Why should I have to friggin look when I think I am getting what I pay for!!!!!!! I mean ok maybe I should look but where I just do it all direct debit I dont think twice until a £100 phone bill comes in!!!

Still tempted to leave apparantly I can do it in writing within 30 days!

Another cheek - she said dont worry though when your contract is within 3 months of ending (Dec) you will be a "loyalty" customer so will be entitiled to our amazing packages which include 3000 texts :spank:  8O 8O
