Only expensive hotels? Can i find hotels in august?

We are a couple going to Ibiza august 1-10. We have not bookt hotels or hostels yet becayse all hotels have prices like 110 euros per night for a couple. Is there possible to find cheap hotels when we get there or is it easyer to find online?? We dont want to go to Ibiza and find that all hotels are already bookt.. Anyone who can help?

there is a load of information available either on this site on on the internet on where to find hotel information and prices, firstly start with spotlight which offers accomodation. If you cant find anything here then 'google'...remember though that august is peak time and as youve left it late it may be difficult to find a bargain.

Where have you been looking for accomodation?
 
possibly august 1st to 10th???

jimi, i really think you need to plan your trip a little earlier if you want to come here in august. everybody wants/has to come then. you may find somewhere but it probably won't be what you were looking for.

We can live just about anywhere but if we can choose we rather stay in a hippie area or som calm place so we can choose when to go clubbing or when to just chill out.. SO its hard to find places to stay when youre already there i guess.

Anyone knows about Formatera, ferrie cost or something??

jimi. i've never seen the word calm used when talking about ibiza in august! i think if you do come you're in for a big surprise. formentera will be full to bursting with italians (95%) in august.

If your really stuck but still want to come you could always trying camping, there a few campsites in ibiza (calla basa, es cana is a couple) they will be cheap (around 5 euros a night each) could be busy though with families etc although ive never done it before so you never know.

If you stay near cala bassa camp site you could always go to kumharas for a hippy night out or even bar ashram which is understand is not far from there either.

theres even a nudist beach in that area if you want to get back to nature

Things are waaaaay more expensive in August.. and accomodation is hard to find.

I really do not think 110 for a couple in August is that bad at all.

Prices do go down after August 25.. but you are going in the absolute peak time.

Also last year i went to formentera right at the beginning of September and it was absolutely PACKED. I did ride my bike away to a couple of beaches further away but it wasn't exactly calm and peaceful.

I would get booking.

I'm going to be there mid august, and will be on my own for a few days before I meet up with thers later. I decided to stay in San an for the first couple of days on my own, because anywhere in Pdb is just way too much. Then I'm moving over to pdb later....but as I go back and look at things.. many many places are all booked up!

Good luck in finding somewhere.. I really think that 110 per couple is not bad for that time of year.
