...well i joined a very well known British website the other nite as i forgot to put a Coupon on the Uefa Cup after uni....

However today i decided to have a few fluters on the gg's (which i NEVER do) as i was bored in the house....turns out im a natural (aka beginners luck) and aquired £62 of which £52 is clear profit! :lol: I was only betting £3-£4 at a time as well! My stratagy was pick middle odd horses i.e 8/1-15/1 and back them each way! Worked out in 3 outa 4 races aswell!

Highly addictive tho and i had to log off as i was getting tempted to play their online games and bet more - which is a total mugs way of doing things!
However,as they say, betting is the finest thing a man can do if hes good at it!

Any1 else gamble online...it saves a trip to the bookies for ur Coupon!
 
I've placed a bet on exactly one game in my life... and lost (damn that Millwall!) so no, haven't used the online gambling sites but I'm sure it's an even more efficient way of losing money than your bricks & mortar versions.
 
Yeah I use all the online sites all the time. Of the bookies, generally find you get the best prices on Paddy Power. But Betfair is the one you want for best odds. Its a betting exchange where you can put money on a horse to win or offer someone else odds on a horse to lose. You generally find you get better odds than the high street (and online) bookies.
Have started playing online poker too....which is dangerous when you are a novice!!

back middle odds horses is not a strategy that will give you long term success. problem is 8/1 - 15/1 could be anything from favourite to 7th fav depending on the race.

better to back mid weighted horses each way that will get the trip and like the ground.;) preferably in handicaps. betfair is the best, laying football bets is a cool way to get some spending money although you have to be a bit of a risk taker to lay bets:p

Grego, u are deffo addicted...i cant b a*sed lookin into weight etc! As for my middle odd horses stratagy, i make sure i pick races with horses that cater for my stratagy...i have yet to come across an 8/1 FAV tho?!! I also like to back horses with cut odds ie 12/1 cut to 10/1 etc. Im goina do few more bets this afternoon so i keep u posted bout my stratagy....alo i know its only beginners luck!:p

the only way to win a substantial amount of money is to lay out large at lower odds on decent races.... not the Class G seller at Catterick with 20 runners.

also helps if u can do it full time, read the horsey news, and have totally in depth knowledge.

all of which said, is why i aint bet on a horse for ages, and stick to something ive got some knowledge on, like football, which you still need luck in. (like not having 6 results correct and yr last selection getting done by a last min equaliser 3 times in a season).

Well...i was off uni today and decided to put a few more bets on.........

........... and i lost, fcukin great lol! All my good work yday went to pot and im now all evens id say! Awell ive had my stint on horse racing...back to football coupons!:roll:
