I actually think I will vote for stars as THE tune of 2010 - that piano aah absolute beast of a tune 8)

Nice mix of slo-mo and deep house. The sound quality isn't great and the levels are a bit up and down but overall thoroughly enjoyable. You're right about the 'stars' track especially when it all comes together with piano, baseline and vocal.

Thanks for comments - agreed on sound - I should stress I'm no pro and a lot of the mixes I've done over the last year have been pretty experimental basically mucking around integrating old and new tunes - usually free or converted from tape mp3s on pretty lowlevel software, usually not heard beyond the car! I'm hoping to step up and get traktor soon [if money allows] and then will start taking it all a bit more seriously.

dunno about everyone else but I find old disco tracks incredibly hard to beatmatch because of their organic, live construction, which is where the recent flurry of edits come in quite handy, but a lot of the edits strip out the charm of the originals in smoothing the rough edges - hmm, so not really attempted to include them, beyond the odd moroder number. I find the house tracks around 120-125bpm are dead easy to bring in, but then there is that temptation to pack it out with bangers and that kills the drama, so I find the most enjoyable mixes cut across styles and tempos, but always with some kind of endgame in sight.
