Older teen advice

My family holiday this year will fall on my daughters 16th birthday, obviously getting a bit older now so thought we could explore a bit more. I'm taking her over to the sunset strip on her actual birthday as she wants to experience a bit more of the music rather than just the Fiesta entertainment and obviously too young to go clubbing. Does anyone have any suggestions for other places to go with some nice house music which are quite teen friendly but not PDB's Karaoke bar! I am quite clueless when it comes to this.. and before anyone says she'll easy get into DC10 I'll have another one almost 15 with me!

She's not to young to go clubbing. I went when was 16. San An is also full of 16 year olds.

You could do the waterfront bars along San An towards the bay.... Bay Bar, Bar M (Or whatever it's called now) Itaca and Orange Corner

lots of bars near space seeing as your staying in pdb.or why not when you done sunset.nip in few bars in the westend.not all are banging out house music.by the way it big ben you mean Karaoke bar?.i would just reat her as though she was 18.so take her anywhere.ibiza town etc

While I still go clubbing and know what goes on she definitely is too young, which is a shame cos I'm 33 now and feel I've got at least 20 years left in me .. Is Bar M still there? I know my brother went in with my parents when he was 14 but I thought it might have changed to the Ibiza rocks bar

I can't really, I also have another daughter who'll be almost 15 and not fussed on walking round pdb much we get asked if we want drugs or club tickets every 5 seconds. I would prefer a place that was banging out house music or techno =) but with less of the drug thing going on, don't want my girls being around wonkey people in particular lol Had they been a bit older I'd pop into space on one of the quieter free nights for a bit!

I've seen youngsters with parents in the PdB beach bars (Bora Bora, Ushuaia, Sands). I think you could get away with that. Get her some proper music too!

I haven't noticed much of a drug scene around Ushuaia or Sands

Oh yeah true! La Plage is now probs the Ushuiaia bar? Shame can't be arsed with it then liked Ushuiaia but felt La Plage was a bit pretentious although we did go to the Luciano beach party maybe that was why lol

Basically I just dont want to take them anywhere that would render me a bad parent , altough I saw a family with a baby dining at channel zoo 2 years ago nera the bar area which was quite bizzarre

Morbs is right.

In August last year I took my two girls to Bora Bora before nightfall. They loved it.

I didnt see ant drugs (smelt some though).

I didnt see anyone who disapproved.

Sands also has families, after dark also, in fact the presence of them makes for the diverse nature of the island.

Think "European" and all will be fine.

I would just use your own common sense. If you see anything you dont like just leave. I would agree with Deepseas viewpoint. Your "young adults" probably have a fair grasp on things as it is.

If my parents brought me to a place like Bora Bora when I was 16 I would consider them cool not bad8)

I went to ibiza when I was 16 and went clubbing almost every night!!

Looking back tho, I wish I'd opted for the cabaret hypnotist. ;)

like said just use your common sense.anywhere you go.but if your together chances are you will not get asked anyway.the dvd cds sellers are the main ones anyway.who might ask you.

just go with the flow.but keep an eye out.
