I sometimes bring in cut up Carrots and Cleary from M&S. It comes with a lovely dip too. Or you could even cut up a bit of fruit and veg at home before work.

Or some peanuts, hazelnuts etc.

Unsalted nuts....lots of Vitamin E and have a special type of fat which lowers cholesterol.

Bananas.....contain everything a human needs and contain 8 amino acids, are full of fibre, potassium and Vit C.

If you jusr want something to munch on because you are orally fixated (aren't we all?) try rice cakes as they have virtualy no calories in them.

interestin. so you cut up the carrots do you? didnt actually think about vegetables. that could work.

any more?

I have to make sure I have breakfast before I leave the house, otherwise I'm drawn to the chocolate croissants. Lunch totally varies from lardy Pret sandwich to healthy mixed salad with lots of beans and pulses for energy.

Caffeine mid morning and mid afternoon normally sorts me out between meals, or if I'm being healthy/organised I'll bring in a banana or a bag of fruit/nuts/seeds.

Don't they also say you should drink lots of water during the day because often you mistake thirst for hunger?

Yeah just cut up a few carrots and eat them raw. That’s what I do anyway. I normally get them from M & S, but if your saving the Pennys that adds up.

For my Brekkie I’d normally bring in some brown wholemeal bread and toast it and then slice a banana and put that on.

Other than that all I can think of is Fruit, you can buy little bags of cut up fruit. Can be tasty and is a lot more healthy.

A brazil nut a day keeps heart disease at bay...

The rishest source of Selenium which can ward off cancer and, some studies suggest it can protect against HIV infection! Not to be used as a replacement for condoms though ;)

I sometimes have a bowl of mixed nuts, dried fruit and seeds to munch on.

Seeds are so under rated.....really tasty and full of protein.

my day consists of

cereal with yoghurt and a banana
snack of fruit all day
sandwiches today I had pumpernickle and liverwurst with gherkin
mixed nuts from sainsburys

what about crackers
soups
anything really!

if people are active enough you can eat what you want ;)

Definately rice cakes & vegemite - I live on these at work! No heavy carbs like bread so they're really good for filling a snack gap.

Also fruit and yoghurt.

usually when you think you are hungry you are just thirsty... have a bottle of water at your desk.

when i'm bad i eat things like muffins or pastries.... but this just makes me feel tired and lethargic for the rest of the day..

Incredibly salty though (Marmite). Not good for the blood pressure in large amounts.

They make it in the nearest town to me. The factory reeks (and I like the stuff)

yeah I usually bring in yoghurt. i make my own thougn.. can't stand the stuff you buy in the shops even if it is 'organic'... tastes like pudding

rice cakes are good.. i still think its better to even out your meals throughout the day, like bring in a chicken salad or whawtever and just eat it twice in smaller portions... much healthier this way

Whilst at work each day i get through: -

3 Rice cakes (post gym first thing)
Nuts - Cashews/Brazil/Almonds
2 pieces of fruit (apple/pear usually)
1 tin of tuna/salmon mixed with Mayo/Pumpkin seeds/Sweetcorn
1 tuppawared up HUGE salad (spinach/cucumber/tom's/mackerel/chicken/sweetcorn/celery/olive oil/seeds)
Lots of Evian

Then i start again when i get home

(fast metabolism you see ;) )
