Now then OTR fans. After a mere 3 weeks wait 8th August is to see the return of your favourite Off The Rails for a very special summer outing. Were pulling out all the stops yet again, so prepare yourselves for what is destined to be another night to remember!

Headlining this event will be Nic Chagall, one half of the legendary duo that is COSMIC GATE. Having created and inspired some of the most influential dance music to hit dancefloors over the past decade these guys remain firmly located in and amongst the worlds leading DJs/producers. Success after success with their own original productions has been accompanied by an impressive repertoire of Cosmic Gate remixes. An adaptive musical style has enabled them to display such longevity and develop their COSMIC GASTE sound over the last ten years. NIC will be here representing the 2 of them-NOT TO BE MISSED!

Next up we have resident DJ and OTR favourite Mr Sean Tyas on his quarterly return to us here in Sheffield. His driving, energetic musical style will be accompanying him no doubt and we would suggest expecting a set more than worthy of your attention. If past performance is anything to go by-prepare yourselves to dance! Mr TYAS is continuing his quest for world domination so take this opportunity to see him so close to home-his production/DJ skills speak for themselves.

MATT EVERSON is next on the line up for this one. A versatile DJ who plays anything from melodic uplifting trance to techno, able to fit his set to the overall feel of the night. Expert thought and precision mixing coupled with reading his crowd makes this guy sets an energetic experience perfectly suited for the occasion.

Our final guest DJ is one of local talent. FREESOUP, a local DJ/producer is enjoying continued success up and down the country and is building a loyal fan base in doing so. At just 21 expect more from this up and coming talent with continued work on his productions and high-class performances at gigs around the country.

Last, but by no means least, we have another of OTR’s residents KRYSTOW DE FIER. With production work now achieving massive success and support from some of the biggest players in the business this guy really does seem to be on the cusp of an international career. COSMIC GATE BIOGRAPHY

Vorsprung Durch Technik (or ‘Advantage through technology’ in English) pretty much sums up the typical German stereotype. Super efficient, groundbreaking and full of innovation. If Mercedes are this to the motoring world then Cosmic Gate are paralleled within the world of electronic music.

After a chance meeting at a record label head office in Germany, Claus Terhoeven (Nic Chagall) and Stefan Bossems (Bossi) have created and inspired some of the most influential music ever to hit our dance floors over the past decade.
Today, Cosmic Gate are rated number 23 in the online directory of the worlds leading DJs at DJlist.com whilst remaining a permanent fixture, positioned for three consecutive years inside the DJ Mag top 100 confirming Cosmic Gate amongst the elite of dance music’s most famous and popular DJ duos.

During the trance boom of the late nineties no DJ set would have been complete without the sounds of Cosmic Gate. Original productions such as The Drums, Back To Earth, Exploration of Space, The Truth, Raging and the unforgettable Fire Wire, which reached #9 in the UK charts and dominated DJ record boxes, homes and car stereos across the globe for the majority of the synth filled millennium year.
In Germany the act have seen unequivocal fame with no less than seven chart top 40 singles to their name along with two artist albums ‘Rhythm & Drums’ and ‘No more Sleep’ rocketing their way into the album charts.

Success after success with their own original productions has been accompanied by an impressive repertoire of Cosmic Gate remixes, for artists including Tiesto (Urban Train), Ferry Corsten (Punk), Blank & Jones (DFF), Svenson & Gielen (Answer the Question) and Vanessa Mae (White Bird) to name but a few.
Behind the decks, Cosmic Gate can be found week in week out performing at the worlds leading clubs from Velfarre in Tokyo to Glow in Washington and from The Gallery in London to Sydney’s massive Home club. European festivals such as the legendary Nature One, Mysteryland and Trance Energy have paved the way for the Cosmic Gate DJ experience to be appreciated in full effect. Regular DJ appearances on every continent have given Cosmic Gate the chance to reach their truly global fan base.

Cosmic Gate have always been, first and foremost about their fans. The ability to adapt their musical style with the ever changing face of dance music has seen the Cosmic Gate sound develop and move on from the harder edge trance of the 90ies through to their current, more progressive yet still driving energetic music style.
In Summer 2005 Cosmic Gate released Back 2 Back vol. 2, the second part of their mix compilation series distributed through the worlds leading trance label Black Hole Recordings. A superb testament to their popularity with sales figures continuing to soar into the thousands.

Now Cosmic Gate are looking forward to release their third artist album named Earth Mover, arguably their best yet. Comprising a mixture of vocal and instrumental tracks the album combines progressive elements with trance, techno, tech-house, electro and house. The thirteen track artist album will not only include their single hits Ultra Curve, Bilingual and I Feel Wonderful (feat. Jan Johnson), it also features their latest single Should’ve Known (feat. Tiff Lacey). The longplayer Earth Mover delivers a phenomenal blend of driving cool club tracks, a certain for airplay from the worlds other leading DJs and set to edge Cosmic Gate in the same direction they have been moving throughout the past decade – right to the top.
