Ocean beach help & advice

Hey all heading to ibiza late July really fancy a day at ocean beach as I've never been. Understand it can be a bit pricey but wanna give it ago just wondering how it all works. For example If I was getting a bed with a 500 euro minimum spend does this include your ticket/entry fee as well as buying food and drinks etc. also any recommendation for a good event I was thinking soul. Any feedback appreciated cheers.

They have a pretty good website. You can actually pick the bed you want on a map, put the date in you want it and it will tell you the exact cost including entry fee for that particular bed. You can also book and pay for it online so you dont have to have a whip round for the cash on the day. I know last year a 500 minimum was just food and drink so you also had to pay entry not sure about this year though.

Hey, ive been each year it was opened, and twice the first year. the 500e minimum spend is basically you get in for free, you get whatever cabana like area you choose, entry for like 5 others, and then 500 euros to spend on the menu. it can be split between alcohol and food, or only alcohol. however you want to do it.

Note: These prices are negotiable if you just show up the day of. They usually have empty tables/beds everyday that you can go up and take. Last year we just showed up with 8 people and we knew some of the workers because they had been there the year before and they let us get their nicest table, let all 8 in for free and just asked we spend 350euros. i think we ended up spending like 600euros on two bottles, some edamame, a hookah, and then when the sunset started we took the party upstairs and ordered some more food and they gave us two jugs of mojitos for free.

Each to their own, but spray parties and girls with big boobs and guys with six packs posing is not my cup of tea. Give me a messy afternoon in Itaca, with good music and a fine selection of weirdos that have been out for two days any day.

Yeah not my scene either. Not all the punters there are like that but there's enough "Marbella" to satisfy even the most desperate to prove to anyone willing to look that they can afford to throw money around and endless time on themselves.

Cheers for the reply. Looked on the website was gonna book but asking for a silly service charge of €75 think will wait until the day of. Cheers every1.

You can peek over the fence to see what it's all about before you commit. It's full of hairdressers pretending they're rich and Joey Essex wannabees but if that's your scene then go for it. The whole place is against everything I stand for but I guess they do a good job on selling their image & glamour to young people who still live with their parents.

One of the best things I've read! Haha summed up perfectly

I've been before, I'm not a hairdresser, don't pretend I'm rich, don't want to be JE & don't live with my parents. Must have stood out big time.

agreed, we went with about 7 or 8 people. spent about 70-90euros each and got some appetizers, lots of alcohol, an awesome pool, watched the sunset with some of the staff on the terrace at the end..it was actually really fun. from my experiences, its not as bad as described, but i could easily see how it could be bad on some days. all depends on the crowd that comes that day.

Quite the gooseberry. Honestly ....

I think I may have swapped my khakis for plaid as a feeble gesture ... but didn't stay there long enough to really work out whether that was in any way appropriate. 10 minutes to get the feel of things, suss out the Costa del Crime crew behind the bar and feel the atmosphere and I was out the door. Idea of giving them 100 Euros or so for what I would be getting back and it was blatently obvious to me I'd be happier on the promenade outside or even better jumping in the car and heading out to the nearest rugged Cala.

I advice you Ibiza sensations pool party with spanish/ibz djs...10€ or free was the fee to enter in & it worth as these djs play Soulful/House music not EDM & not techno...Luis Del Villar, inaky garcia, Felix da funk & miguel viscayno (not sure for the spelling of last name))
