Hi all! Long time lurker on the forum, finally decided to sign myself up. Just returned from my annual pilgrimage to the island. I've been going since 2010, lived there in 2012, and I've seen a huge change over that time! Not really interested in clubbing these days, hence the out of season visit!

I stay in San Antonio as my best friend (Ibicenco) lives there, and while I'd stay elsewhere if I was going with anyone from home, the place holds a special place in my heart - my friend and I ran a shop there.

Anyway! I noticed a lot of the "hostels" have had a refit over the winter, the reception areas at least. There's some really nice looking places there now, perhaps they had a good season last year. Same for some of the cafes on the front by the fountains.

A lot of work was still ongoing, a couple of places I passed were still under construction. There's a new cotton club opening on sunset strip, was unfinished but promises to be an amazing gym from the looks of things. Potential competition for Fraile!

Kanya was looking in a sorry state, chipped paint all around the dirty pool, dead plants...has the bar shut down?

I passed through PDB en route to the airport (needed the toilet!) I was shocked how grotty it has become. The beach is better than San An, but if we're talking about San An v PDB I know where I'd rather stay. Of course there are much better places to stay in than either, but I'm really not sure why there's such snobbery about it!

Hi @ClaraW . I went in 2015 with my wife and 6 month old son. This was my first time since 2001 (Previously went in '98 and '99) We had an hour in San An after a boat trip to see the sunset. How much had it changed?!? The last time I went, iirc, there was no real promenade from Egg to bay area. The fountain section looked as though it was overhauled somewhat. The walk way to sunset strip was non existent back when I last went. No bus station either. The whole place completely changed. Even the sign out side the Airport changed. I was upset by that as I really liked the old Evissa sign. I cant' comment on BdB as I only went once to go to Space opening '98 and had some food in a restaurant close by.

i;ve been going since early 80s so i;ve seen many changes.from many a refit on hotels to new roads..san an to ibiza is one.and how pdb was once a huge family resort to now younger people.and older with money.plus the italian invasion, and bars close and new ones open.all the apartments from the algarb hotel to the tres carabelas begin built.then there was the start of the killer a/i hotel...which did kill a few bars later on...
