Oasis Festival 11-13 September

Not fussed about swedgers these days tbh ! It's new and Day 1 line-up later on is pretty tempting... somewhere completely different too. I imagine there'll be a significant Tunisian element over for it - hopefully not armed !

Tempted until I tried to book a room in the hotel (venue). Crazy prices, more than 4'000 euros for 3 nights.
The main problem would be transportation from/to the venue.

They have an "insider experience" at just over £2k for 2 people including all meals and 100Euro drinks token so I guess that's about 2.6k Euros. Still very expensive but I'm sure there'll be after-parties etc etc included in all that and I bet the artists will be staying there http://www.theoasisfest.com/vip-insider/#/ticket-fellah-hotel/

There's no discount for single use of the room so I ruled it out for myself ! They are putting on regular coaches to and from the venue from Es Saadi hotel and a couple of others in Hivernage so there's that option or you just get a cab and stay wherever you like - because it's held at a hotel complex I doubt transport would be an issue and taxis are pretty cheap in Morocco. The only thing with that is it would be nice to have a room there for your stuff, change of clothes if you want to use the pool etc.

There's also a hotel virtually next door (walking distance) which could be an inexpensive compromise http://www.zarraba.com/en/

My own leaning was to stay here and cab across - just a few km up the same road towards Marrakesh http://www.thesourcemarrakech.com/

Probably the best option.
You have couple of other maisons d'hôtes in the area (route d'ourika)

Concerning taxis, it is cheap, just tired of bargaining.
Coming out of Pacha marrakesh one night, we were confronted to mafia style prices.
All taxis outside pacha, were asking the same fare. 100dhs (10 euros).
The fare to hivernage is around 20 dhs (2 euros).
The funny thing, you deal with the "taxis capo", and you are assigned a cab.
You are right; still cheap.
