Ok, I know alot of people have slagged him off, but I'm listening to his mix right now to his Perfecto on Tour mix on Sirius, and it never fails how good it is....at least it's my kind of music anyways. He is a great seamless mixer (ie. his first Global Underground!!!!) and one of my fave mix CD's ever was his Creamfields from a couple years back. He also was one of the best DJ's i've seen ever when I saw him at Cream in '04.

I just think he's fantastic! :D Am I alone in this thought :? His music just ceases to amaze me, me who has always been more into house than trance!
 
I still listen to The Essential Mix 1998 all the time, the purple CD that I think had plums on the front of it. Oakie done CD2 and it's my favorite CD from that era.
I heard a recent mix of his and it wasn't really my thing. Also heard Perfecto tour from WMC, wasn't my thing either.
 
i used to be a massive oakie fan round about 2000 and it was one of his gatecrasher sets on radio 1 that got me into all this. unfortunately i dont rate him anymore and in his last 2 essential mixes from ibiza it sounds like he's now deaf!!!!
 
Oakie can definitely still deliver, saw him last year supporting Armin @ Amnesia and he was excellent, a great night. Looking forward to seeing him this year at Armada / Amnesia on the 31st July. Go on Paul!:D
