..... i know I'm probably going over old ground but i've just had a call to renew my marketing magazine subscription and the guy could barely speak or understand english! I had to hang up in the end! Why on earth are companies still using this method - its sooooo annoying and they surely can't get a lot of business from it!

:twisted::twisted::twisted:

I do sympathise with you actually....whenever I call HSBC bank from Spain, I always get a call centre in the far east or somewhere (I´m not being racist BUT...)....and they dont understand my best queens english nothing!!!! :roll: :lol:

It drives me up the bloody wall......especially as its about 3.00 € a minute from my mobile!!:twisted:

They are both talking about outgoing calls.

HSBC the british bank, operate their call centres in India as its cheaper. None of the advisors speak good English though.

I think Jessy's initial message was about an incoming call... but one that also used barely literate telemarketers (which I think is twice the insult of using them at call centers!)

It was indeed inbound - all I do now is put the phone down on them! ;)

If you dont want to get these types of calls you should register with

http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/

It's free and marketing compenies or sales calls must check the register before calling, if your registered they are breaking the law by phoning you.

Just noticed they do a mail protection service to, so now no more junk mail.

Had a sales call about a month ago some smarmy A hole that gave me a torrent of abuse down the phone when i pointed out he shouldn't be calling my home number as I was registered with TPS!

Although that was the only sales call I've had in about three years since registering my number.
