Not going to Ibiza this year...can you recommend anywhere else?

I know im probably gonna get slated on here as everyone holds a candle for the white isle.....but after 11 visits to the island in 5 years and a responsibility to save and get my own place, I am looking for an alternative to Ibiza.

Looking at going beginning of September.

Ideally needs to be as hot as Ibiza for sunbathing, cheaper than Ibiza and offer decent places to chill, eat and decent places to go out and party, so dont anyone suggest Gt.Yarmouth!
 
Gran Canaria is absolutely superb. Either Playa del Ingles, or Puerto Rico. You could stay in San Agustin, which is just outside PDI, it's quiet, has a gorgeous beach, but is within easy reach of PDI through the stupendous taxi service the island runs. It's cheap as chips and every taxi is an air-conditioned Merc.

Brilliant place.
