No one on Ibiza like it a little bit "darker/harder/underground"?

Hey Guys!

Just a little discussion ;)

I'm more into Techno than House or Techhouse. And everytime i'm on the island or checking the www, i always miss some acts which are really famous, headlining partys/festivals around the globe, sell out clubs, playing on boiler room/mixmag/BBC radio 1, but dont play (frequently) on Ibiza.

Just to name a few: Johannes Heil, Umek, Bart Skils, 2000 and one, Boris Brejcha, Benk Klock, Rodhad, Blawan/Karenn/Surgeon, Len Faki, Jeff Mills, Alan Fitzpatrick, Marcel Dettmann, Oscar Mulero, Dj Rush, ...

All of them playing something between techno, dark techno, industrial, experimental - like Nina Kraviz - but she plays always on IBZ.

Whats your thoughts?

klock, dettmann, mills, fitzpatrick, faki and blawan play ibiza various times every year.

This is just my opinion, so feel free to call me out for chatting crap, but when I'm in Ibiza, I feel the vibe is more suited to a lighter style, what with the location and type of parties often on throughout the summer.

That's not to say at all that techno has no place there, of course it does. I love techno and I'm still recovering from the Saturday just gone at fabric where Dettmann, Milton Bradley, Anthony Parasole and Capriati absolutely smashed it...

I suppose when I'm listening to the darker style of music, I prefer it paired the darker style of club and fabric suited that perfectly.

When I'm in Ibiza, with sun, sea and sand I veer towards a lighter, house music style.

But as Stivi said, you can still find a lot of techno on the island, just takes a bit of looking :)
