No Hell but Still Pretty Hellish

We went to The Key in kings cross last night. Part of what used to be Bagleys it's a pretty cool low ceiling'd club with plenty of comfy seats, small dancefloor (but it is a proper disco stylee flashing one)

I've got a few of the city rockers 'futurism' cds which i play loads, so at the last minute we (me, mrs rustywoo and our friends claire and sarah) decided to check it out.

DH Hell has done his back in so was a no-show. His place was filled by a geezer called damian lazarus who those in the eletro scene rate.

What a pile of pants. Probably the dullest, saddest music ive ever heard. relentless monotony.

Take the worst excesses of prog, add some very moody techno, dull droning voices, and turn up the bass a little too much. Add some shockingly bad mixing, a crowd each wearing a more stupid haircut than the next person and a heap of attitude and you've got an inkling into what we endured in the name of 'fun'

The music makes people in the club so insular and moody. not my idea of fun for sure. Where Is The Love?

And i thought i quite liked electro till last night. Claire and Sarah are never, ever, ever going to listen to me ever again
