about 10 years ago i had one taken from my chest, it had changed shape, colour and had even bled once or twice, that was cut out quite savagely under local anaesthetic, sent away then got the all clear, the latest had been quite flat & dark but became more raised and had whitened in the centre, but the dr took one look and said nowt to worry about.

I was really amazed at how big the roots were when they cut mine out. It was pretty flat on my skin but they really cut in deep to remove it

tell me about it a very unpleasant experience made even more unpleasant by nurse "helping dr" expression when he was cutting into me...something like this accompanied by "bloody hell it's a deep one". needless to say i lost consciousness shorlty afterwards.
