Hola im no Patrick Moore but over the past 2 weeks every night when we arrived back at the house quite late just for a few minutes we would look up at the Ibiza night sky with a full moon and no light polution it was just magic

Thats one of the many advantages of living on a small Island in the Mediterranean sea.

Yes I have to agree, we would looovvveee to live in Ibiza, but we got told last year to live on the island you have to be able to talk fluent Spanish, Id be able to learn but my hubby has problems with English , without learning Spanish, hes dyslexic,
Plus theres the job issues, as long as I have a phone line and skypeI can work anywhere in the world, but hubby has a job here and wont justleave a job without knowing theres a job for him elsewhere;
Our plans for next year are to come over for 2 weeks really early season ie March time, and then October time, when the touristy season is over, and instead of going all inc, go self catering, so we shop and cook as though we were living there, just incase our love for the island,is based on just a holiday mode, but dont think it is, we came 3 years ago and fell in love with the island, and every year it feels like we,re coming home,
So we are really jealous of people live there all year round,
by the way my hubby is a qualified Brickie, and a car mechanic on old cars

you don;t have to be able to speak fluent Spanish at all.a little helps but you would learn.i know many brits that live there.i can speak more spainish than them.always small and big jobs for brickies to do.he could set up a odd job company.
you ever seen how poor they lay bricks.you never really see much with it begin covered in plaster.stop a month over winter see if you like it.doing some fishing on jobs ect.
finding a place to live would be the first job.if you have enough funds to last you 6 months.try it.if not come home.but think hard on what you would do.lots of paper work to sort out as well.

best off luck.times i have been out i could of bought an apartment or small villa.

I know what you mean about the brick work, lol, my hubby says how do those buildings stay up, the bricks arent even in a straight line, lol

the buildings stay up because they are supported by reinforced concrete columns. the bricks are only fillers between the pillars and floors.

ahhh ok, guess hubby would have to learn a different way of doing things, Is this why people always complain about hotels being noisy, and being able to hear what the neighbours are saying and doing, We ALWAYS take earplugs, and sleep soundly from about 2am till 9am

he wouldn't have to learn anything new, just forget all he knows. it isn't just the hotels that have paper thin walls, it's the same in apartments too.
