NIE - tax payments?

Hi, just wondering, if you have an NIE so are registered as working, but for less than three months, do you pay tax on your earnings to the Spanish government? Is it all tricky to sort out? (Imagining months of paperwork over the winter!)?

all employers will deduct a small percentage of your earnings as tax.

after the end of the year you make a declaration to the tax authorities about how much you have earned and then they calculate how much tax is due.

you will not earn enough (i'm making some assumptions here) in 3 months to be liable for tax.
