NIE Number - quick question

I am heading to ibiza beginning of May, but I am also spending a month in Spain in January - If I got my NIE sorted out in Malaga in January (even though I'm just going there on holiday) would it be valid for the rest of the year to use in Ibiza??

Any info appreciated!

Will they give her one, as it were, without proof of employment? In Ibiza last year you had to get a pre-contract from your employer to get an NIE....

that was a situation which only happened in ibiza - the rest of spain is quite normal
