Saw these 2 cd's at a bargain price in my local Tower Records so I thought i'd choose these rather than the usual compilations from the big labels.
Nic Fanciulli's CD is brilliant. Exactly what you hear when you go to his Fandango nights at Turnmills. Starts of with very bleepy and squelchy house, but with very hooky basslines.. First track Zoo Brazil "Tonight" is a perfect starter tune.
A Studio's "SOS" is followed up with The Beats "The Beat is what you need".. both of them are are fantastic, and signal the start of more chunky chugging house tracks...
Another highlight is London Resident's "Bad Magic". The whole album has a very Skylark sound to it.
Tall Paul's CD is also very good, and like Fanciulli is very true to what he plays out. Starts of with dark proggy tracks, moving into jacking house like Mischa Daniel's "Cant Hide Now Baby".. then going abit tech-trancey, then back to house again wth Spektrum, then back to quality dark & moody trance like Mal's Black's "Blind Vision".. It's very up and down and varied.
I'd recomend both compilations if you like their style in clubs. It's also refreshing to hear new tracks that arent the usual summer anthems you get with other compilations..
Anybody else heard these CD's??
