So im thinking of escaping to Newquay for a weekend,..id like to sample it briefly b4 i make my decision to work there next summer, im 90% sure i'll be doing it.

my question, is it possible to fly there, im to lazy to drive, if so..where from and can anyone recommend some cheap airlines,

The amount of time you'll spend driving to an airport, parking, checking in, boarding, waiting for the plane to finally take off 2 hrs late etc, you may aswell drive in the comfort of your own car ;)

You can probably do it in 3/4 hours from Brighton.
