I wish I could help Gareth but all I remember from a stag do last year is the best man leaving his shoes at a bowling alley and wearing the bowling shoes for the rest of the weekend.

Oh and wreaking havoc in Shearer´s bar at St James Park.

The rest is a drunken blur I´m afraid.

*Paging Puppylover*

What time you arrive ? Flight or Train?

How will you all be dressed - smart or funky with trainers.

Err the Quayside is the new Bigg Market

Give me a bit more info and i will come up with some places for you to try...

Couple of mates are playing at Shindig this Saturday night with Tom Novy. Also playing at Ministry next week in the Baby Box.

Ain't got a clue what the place is like and neither have they I don't think!!

Cool night and venue, as long as the chavs stay away. There've been more and more every time I've been. The water's cheap, though, and the sound system is excellent. Are they playing upstairs or in the main room?

Try Apartment on Collingwood Street - further down from Officers Deck, for you and your mate. #

Try meeting up at Centurion Bar - very central next door to the train station

http://www.centurion-newcastle.co.uk/bar.asp

Pm / facebook me and i'll give you my mobile for those "where do we go next - any ideas" situations!

Mark is correct about Centurian - although I prefer Destination - a little bit further down - past the station hotel and downstairs 0r across the road there is The Head of Steam - which also a good bar. Further along you have Revolution and then the Apartment (btw this is a smart/trendy bar/club) as the road bends round after Destination there is a good bar - warm up bar for Shindig called Tokyo - great roof terrace!.

Quayside is the new Bigg Market and probably best club is Sea, then across the river over the bridge you have Baja Beach Club - if your all on the pull - this is the cheapest and most guaranteed place in town.... :)

The Gate - top of The Bigg Market is a complex of bars and restaurants, incorporating a large Tiger Tiger complex - its basically a shopping centre with no shops - just bars - a couple of the bars in their have some really good DJ's on too. Behind there is China Town for the best chinese restaurants if you guys are eating out.

I pretty much think you can wear trainers in most bars these days - as long as they look good and not like you've been having a knock-about on a muddy field all day....

BUT if you are going to frequent a titty bar - then prob shoes is the best option - not sure on the dress policy (for men) in these establishments - but when our lot go - they tend to be in business suits so......:lol::lol:

Ginge - since when do you mingle with "chavvs" you're usually in the friggin VIP section - unless you're calling me a Chav!!! :spank: :lol::lol:

Not sure mate to be honest. Playing back to back - RPM DJs so possibly main room as warm up I don't know. They will have it bouncing that's for sure.

To be honest mate - tell him not to expect too much of a crowd - Satoshi Tomei played last Saturday - normally pulls a good crown for Shindig @ Digital - 300 turned up - one of the reasons I very rarely go clubbing now in Newcastle is that its really died a death.....

Its normally pants over the summer anyway - but this was a shocker

They didnt even bother opening the upstairs room - or the 2 side bars...... just awful!!!!!

Shamless self promotion!!! :spank:

Will have to pop up for a drink soon - are you in their much or do you leave it your manager??

To be honest I've only been in a handful of times myself, given the current home situ, but the guys who run it manage it and promote themselves. I'm just a "silent partner".
