Since I'm finding myself so busy on my first day back :)?) I thought I'd show you all my new kitchen plans...

If you look at the thumbnails, I'm going for the red one (5th one along).

Advice needed...this is surely the cheapest time to buy a kitchen hense the timing.

But someone on here gave me some great advice once on how to get the price down.

I might have a sales background but still have no idea how to play these people.

Yes, must be the best time to go shopping.

Thing is, they have an unlimited number of kitchens - so if they sell for £1 profit, so long as their overhead is covered, its a quid more than they would have had.

I only worked in purchasing for 4 weeks, so have no expert knowledge on grinding a deal out apart from dealing with subs in work.

But in work I always make sure they know they are bidding against someone else & that I do not need them & invent a 'bad cop' within my organisation who I can use as a 'I really want it but X says we can not sign you up unless we get it for X% less'. Then you can be as big a sh1t as you want, but keep the relationship cordial.

They will no doubt thing you know nothing & they know everything.

Let him bang on for 10 minutes as if your an idiot, then say 'thats great..I will just need to run the pricings by my mum/dad/boyf who is head of kitchens for Ikea'
