dbk - breathe (vocal mix)

Started this one with my mate brad (me+him=dbk) about a year or so ago. A couple of months back I dug up the samples we'd recorded and knocked up a proper beat and programmed the bass rather than using the sketchy live bass we used before. Today i loaded up the biatch and worked about 6hrs straight to get it done. Its virtually finished now so here's a sample of the middle section:

They've blocked all mp3 files through my firewall here at work :( I'll download it when I get my stupid broadband to work at home :evil:

Look forward to ur opinion mark, its much more chilled than my funky stuff but could prob still work in a bar.

@comin: cheers mate, i know its prob not ur cup of tea. I like to vary my style alot but my mate usually ends up thinking a bit more cheesy than me when it comes to riffs and ideas. I give him a nasty scowl most the time :D

u thought about sticking some air horns on it and a female vocal and licence it to Nu Life? :lol:
 
mate, are you sending your stuff out to labels?
Haven't heard this new one yet but if your tomneville mix is anything to go by, people will take notice of it.
 
I havent sent any of my house stuff out yet but i will be starting very soon with this one and one other. I'm thinkin oxyd and azuli for the big name labels but i'm not sure about which smaller labels to aim for. Any ideas?
 
oh yeah forgot to say stu, did u want a copy in the post? I've got another track u havent heard yet either that is prob your cup of tea :)
 
Wow what a tune! Think I might have to extend that mp3 so I can play it in my set on Energy FM this weekend if you don't mind - unless you want to send me a link to a full version ;)
