New to Ibiza

My name is James.
I will be coming into Ibiza around the 5th of July and leaving the following week, maybe 11th, not booked yet.

This will be my first time in Ibiza and I will be coming in with a group of 6 -10 Canadians who will be traveling around Europe. (single and couples, late 20's)
We are all going to different locations before, but meeting in Barcelona before heading to Ibiza.

Looking to meet some people here before I go so that I can get an idea of what to do and where to go.
Fan of DJ's like Judge Jules and Ferry Corsten.

is it true that I should try to get tickets to the clubs before I get there?

Where is a good place to stay ? (not booked yet) and Where can I watch the World Cup Final ? (when England wins...)

Also, I will be in Prague before Barcelona and I am looking for info from people who have been there.

Hi James.

Good decision on making the trek to Ibiza. I'm sure you'll have a good time.

Re: Tickets - In most cases, you shouldn't buy them ahead of time. There are plenty of bars where you can pick up your club tickets on the night of. That gives you more flexibility and sometimes you can even get cheaper tix that way. I make an exception for Space because if you buy tickets through Ibiza-Spotlight you get in through the VIP entrance. Space (and maybe Privelege) is the only club where I've noticed that makes a difference.

Re: where to stay. I prefer Playa d'en Bossa. You've got the beach bar/club Bora Bora as well as superclub Space nearby, and it's a quick ride to Ibiza Town for the bars and restaurants of the harbor and D'alt Vila, and the clubs Pacha and El Divino. There's also plenty of bars around to watch the World Cup.

Given your music taste, you should also consider San Antonio as you'd be closer to clubs like Eden and Es Paradis (where there's events like Judgement Sundays w/ Jules). Even so, it's a 20min taxi ride from PdB to San An. I'm sure you could easily find a bar to watch football in San An as well.

Prague is great... a pint of beer cost less than a dollar when I was there for vacation 5 yrs ago... cheaper than bottled water. I think I drank ALL the beer.
