i want to make this years ibiza the best ever and try some non clubbing related things

there are 4 of us (2 couples) and we will have a car.

have been to ibiza over 20 times but always get drawn to the same places/restaurants/beaches (the ususal suspects)

would especially like to try some authentic catalan cooking and see some more of the island than PDB/Ibz Town and San An.

Already on the list:

Pacha restaurant followed by Pure Pacha opening
Es Vedra/Cala D'Hort
KM5
The jazz bar in San Jose
Space opening/Bora Bora of course

Can anyone give me any suggestions thanks!!!!!!

well if you want to try some catalan cooking then you should go to Catalunya or a catalan restaurant,;) :D you migth be refering yourself to mediterranean food wich catalunya and balearic island have in common as other regions in Spain. Now if you want real Eivissa food then you should try some local restaurant with lots of locals eating there. I like Pacha restaurant if I join food plus free entrance but I wouldn't thinks is Ibiza style. Have a good time:D

Formentera 8)

For traditional food, I would say run away from main touristic resorts, if you explore the island up north you'll find nice restaurants here and there with traditional good food. My fav eivissa food is Flaó, which is a delicious dessert :D

Formentera is one of my favourite places in the world, I allways heard Silvia
talking about Formentera and now I understad why! I can't find enough words to explain how beautifull it is! Silvia gave some brilliant reccomendations of restaurants with really nice food that I tried last year:
La pequeña Isla ( very good, going back again this year)
Ca'n rafalet ( wich I tryied twice as I went in a day trip a few of years ago and went back last year, very nice, try to get a table in the terrace):D

For some really lovely food....definitely not touristy....try Can Talayas just outside San Antonio.....amazing food! :D

Its quite tricky to find (if you find the school....indoor swimming pool...."nightclub".....boat yard, youre there!!!) but well worth it! :D :D

He's adorable Mikkak, what make is he??
well, his mother is a ca de bestià ( don't know the translation, is a very big and tall dog and very typicall of Mallorca) and his father is a type of labrador retriever but very hairy so he suppose to be very tall but we shall wait to see, he is now 8 weeks old , two weeks ago he became part of our family and we could not be happier, he is lovely, likes to play all the time, he follows you everywhere and I love his way of wellcomming you, he goes face up so you can cuddle his tummy! I think he would stay permantly this way if he could! he likes everyone to cuddle his tummy!:D I am in love with him!

1)Formentera as mentioned is amazing. Did a day trip there last summer. Went on my own because mates were being rubbish and so glad I did.

2) Water slide park in PdB - Great day out! hmmmm not sure if thats what you had in mind though

3) Benniras beach - really wanted to go last year but we didnt have a car and think that is the easiest way to get there. Meant to be beautiful and have quite a hippy/alternative chilled out vibe.

4) The rock at Es Vedra- dont know much about it except its meant to be lovely in either morning or evening. looks stunning in the pics anyway

5) Es Paradis nightclub - a hidden gem known said to reflect the Islands mysterious and mythical spiritual energy

Awww he is adorable - doggies are just the best thing ever :D

two of the best restaurants i think you should try are sa capella just on the outskirts of san an its in a old church and also soleidos in figuritas (near playa den bossa) i was recommended the elephant in san rafeal last year and was really disapointed compared to the other two restaurants.
Also in the north of the island near portinax theres some good beaches and a old cave which does tours around it worth checking out if you've not done it before.

He sounds lovely!!! I want one :p

Es Ventall in San Antonio is a family run restaurant not far from the West End (that said, I'm the only English- speaking tourist I've ever seen in there), and it serves delicious Ibicenco food with a twist.

the problem with this is that i don't really think it can be appreciated whilst on a holiday. "the can talayas experience"() i think is more suited to if you are living la vida eivissenc, not least because of the unusual opening hours.:D 8)

btw - those directions are shocking!
