the flights look quite good on price (around £50 return) however probably only really useful for southerners. The cheapest way getting down from newcaslte to standsted is via easyjet but the flight is at 7.00am then the flight from stansted to ibiza isnt until 5.10pm so a heck of a long wait around the airport all day. Coming back from ibiza to stansted which is at 22.45 aint much better as the next flight up to newcastle is the next day so would mean a stop over at the airport.

Might try it once just for the winter ibiza experience though:D

we have a train station in Ncle you know.....:lol::lol: book well enough in advance and the prices will be cheap as....

Already checked that alternative pups, £89 return for a 4.5 train hour journey changing once or twice depending on what time of day you go down, still double the £45 return flight price and its still a bit of a trail, plus comming back would still require staying over at stansted until the following mornings train.

will definitley give it a go though (i think i would prefer sitting round the airport for the day that having a train journey though). Some of the return flight prices from ibiza are actually marked as free (plus taxes)!

Try Grand Central Station in Sunderland - I think they're cheaper than Central Station.

it would be nice if a few hotels would part open to cater for the people who may flock over.i know there is not heating in hotels.but you can always wear a thick jumper.this might even wake up a few more cheap airlines into starting up a small service.if its just twice a week.lets hope every flight is full and demand out grows seats.might even check up to see how its going with ryanair.

this could really help the island out.so long as a few bars and shops are willing to open up over winter..

I just caught the end of a news item on BBC earlier,Ryanair are cutting flights from Stanstead by 14%..

yes thats right they are reducing there capacity at stansted alot this winter, but are also adding new destnations:confused: it seems that they are reducing frequncies on some destinations rather then cutting routes from there. anyway that slightly going off topic. anyway i was just whondering is there enough hotels open to support the new direct flights from the uk in the winter , i know there seems to be a few new 5 star hotels opened up, will they stay open all year round, i take it they will have heating for the winter tourits, will new attractions open up, like excursions, boat trips etc to see the island in all its winter glory or will people be just left to do there own thing. how will the people who live on the island find this , i know it will probably be good for buisness, but would they rather be left alone for the winter season as they always say how nice that season is without alll the tourists, i know a few extra flights a week wont make much diffrents. and one last thing will this be the first direct flight out of ibiza to the uk in the winter season or has it been tried before

try this

http://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/hotel-guide/all_year_i.htm

some hotels that open all year. the consell has announced that it will be trying to get more hotels and touristic services to remain open during the winter. having said that, there's a tremendous number of bars, restaurants and so on that are open all year and the climate is superb for being out and about seeing and doing all the things that summer is way too hot for

checked a few last night and some of them are actually free (plus taxes of course) when booking online

Just booked myself 4 days out there from November the 22nd... so looking forward to seeing the island in the winter 8) Looks beautiful from previous winter pics.
