Feels like i been away from this site for ages! Well its prob been around 5yrs but have been popping on every so often...

Some of you may or may not remember me from when i used to post on here in the early 00's. One of my mixes actually won a small competition that was ran on here.

Took a few years out from DJ'ing but decided that i'd make a return. I even sold all my gear so have purchased some new kit and am very excited to be getting back into doing mixes.

When i played before, i was all about 'Funky House'...happy to say i'm still into House, but more into the 'Deeper' side of House Music.

Should hopefully have a mix done in the next week, so will post a link to it in this section.

Really happy to be back on the forum...

Yeah i believe your right. :)

The Deeper sound is a much wider and varied genre that even has elements of Minimal Techno.

Don't get me wrong i like vocal house sound but found it to all sound a bit 'samey' after a while...

I've found a whole bunch of new and exciting artists who push the boundaries and are light years ahead of themselves musically...
 
I think "Funky House" was a last ditch attempt to keep "house" mainstream.

I am actually glad that things have gone underground again.

Me too...

Personally i don't think that the 'Deeper' house sound has ever sounded so good.

I'm glad i took the time away from Djing to find where i wanted to be musically. I was getting stuck in a rut. :(

Just been checking out your bio online, in a non-stalking sense of course (we are both following someone on soundcloud)

You have a lot of Ibiza pedigree, 1998 -2008 particularly :).

A few "war" stories wouldn't go a miss on here tbh, I'm sure you have plenty to contribute to the rest of the forum as well!!!

Yeah had some good times in Ibiza between those years... As for 'War' stories?

You are on soundcloud, I am in soundcloud.

You "follow" someone, and so do I.

That person is the same person.

We both follow them? :?

(unless there is another Andy Eastough?)
