Negotiating car rental prices?

I have got good deals from the likes of Centauro, Avis and Hertz when I have said another company has quoted a much lower price - try it, they almost always price match:twisted:
 
All three have offices in the terminal - the cars are about 150 yards away in a multi storey car park. I usually get quotes from several companies by email and then try to get the equal best deal from one of the "big boys" and as I said, most of them will do price match most of the time. I pay by credit card in advance but you may have to pay another 30 to 50 euros on arrival for an additional insurance waiver in case your car gets whacked when you are not with it. Depending on the arrangements you may also have to pay for a tankful of fuel and if you arrive after 11.00 pm there may be an additional 30 euros out of hours charge.
