Need Wild Vacation to Vent Stress

I'm sure the regulars on here see plenty of these kinds of posts, but please have patience for one more. 3 of my friends and I are heading to Ibiza for the first time arriving on 09/10 leaving on 09/18. It is hard to plan ahead based on 1-paragraph blurbs on websites, and I can find a post that recommends almost every club for every night. I am looking to maximize my Ibiza experience and see the best there is to see. Type of music isn't the driving force as long as their is some, and it is relatively loud accompanied by an abundance of alcohol.

So with all of your collective experiences on the island, if you had to plan your 1 and only week in Ibiza, what would you do both during the day and the night? Any assistance is appreciated.

Do a search on every party during the week you are here. Count the number and vehemence of pro and anti comments and graph them on a chart.

Don't forget to calibrate for vested interests, which may or may not be declared!

My personal recommendation would be to alternate visits to Eden with huge Bora Bora sessions and at least one day at Pure Platinum next to the airport.

(lol. Edited because I was looking at August instead of September when I made my recommendations.)

I'll do my best. You can PM me if you have more questions. Coming from the States, Ibiza can be more than overwhelming. You didn't ask about where to stay...so if you haven't booked do NOT do so in San Antonio. Trust me. Unless you're 19 and into keg stands. I suggest Ibiza town, Figueretas, or Playa d'en Bossa.

Sat: KM5. Nice to just sit back and relax after the massive flight from the States...and you'll need your energy for the next few days. Beautiful gardens. Music til 4. Dinner requries reservation. Can be spendy tho.

Sun: We Love @ Space. There's no other option. Get there no later than 4pm and buy the pass that gives you re-entry. You'll need it. The party goes for 22 hours.

Mon: Circo Locoa @ DC10. Sleep after Space for a few hours, then head over to DC10 around 4:30/5:00. The terrace closes at 11:00...main room around 2am. Carry on at Bora Bora if you dare.

Mon: If you have it in you...meaning you can still stand, Manumission @ Privilege. One of those Ibiza experiences you won't get anywhere else. The size of the club makes the visit worthwhile.

Tues: Armin van Buuren @ Amnesia if you're into Trance. Defected @ Pacha if you're into (commerical) House.

Wed: Purple Music @ Penelope w/ Jamie Lewis. Pure House musci. OR if you're up for Techno, I l-o-v-e Meganite @ Privilege.

Thurs: Yoshitoshi @ Pacha

Fri: Made in Italy @ Amnesia. Harder house. Club isn't as packed as Weds/Thurs so a good opp to see it and have room to dance.

Sat: Hed Kandi @ El Divino. Vocal House. People think it's cheesy, but I do love El Divino (everything but their sound system)...and if you're gonna go this is the best night to do it.

Before the clubs, head to the port in Ibiza town or Playa d'en Bossa for cheap eats & pre-drinks. Pick up passes there. Don't pay your entrance at the door. When at the port, head up to Dalt Vila (the wall enclosed town). Take pictures from the outer walls, and eat at one of the many amazing restaurants.

See a sunset from Cafe del Mar, Savannah, or Mambo in San Antonio. Also great lookout spots along the west coast.

Beaches: Cala Jondal, Bora Bora, Jockey Club in Salinas, Sa Trinxa. All have live DJs and good food.

Obviously everyone is going to have different opinions...but this will show you all the clubs and give you some diversification. Note I did not include Hip Hop because I hate it. And I purposefully left off all clubs/bars in San An, because I have no knowledge of those other than bad stereotypes.

Good luck.

Tiffany has laid it out pretty well. I would add the following recommendations:

Monday, 12 Sept - Roger Sanzhez at Pacha. The man plays an 8 hour set that takes you all over the house spectrum. He's a great crowd pleaser.

Wed. 14 Sept - La Troya at Amnesia. This party has the best vibe of any night and the Amnesia terrace room is a great venue. It's usually straight-up house with a gay-friendly but very mixed crowd.

Thurs 15 Sept - Yoshitoshi at Pacha with Deep Dish. These guys played a blazing set at the opening party in June and I can't imagine this closing party would be anything but stellar.

Dr. Mick,
That type of analysis is exactly why I need a vacation. But I am using an Excel spreadsheet to plan out the days into the pre-club, club, and the how-am-I-still-awake timeframes. Since we are staying right by Bora Bora, I am sure we will be spending a lot of time there. By the way, what is Pure Platinum? Haven't seen anything on the place.

j_love01,
I know I am probably going to get grief for this, but I don't really care what music is played...I can have fun no matter the type...we are looking for where the nightlife will be the liveliest and wildest. (my apologies in advance to the music enthusiasts).

Tiffany and Morbyd,
Thanks for the info...I am putting it into the afore-mentioned spreadsheet. As far as keg-stands, I can't deny having done one or two (or more) of those in my life. Would do it again if needed, but not really desparate for the experience again. Now I need to find the thread I saw earlier about pre-club bars....

Fezzi-

No dress codes, except maybe at Pacha where you might get turned away if you are in shorts.
For the best atmospheres- We Love Sundays at Space and Circo Loco at DC10 have to be the best parties on earth. My preference is to go to these parties in the afternoon. Nothing compares.
Next, check out Manumission for pure size and extravagance, followed by Carry-On at Space Tuesday AM.
Armin at Amnesia Tuesday is good as well as Cream @ Amnesia on Thursday, but in my opinion these parties are more serious musically.
Like Morbyd said, LaTroya is a wild party not to be missed- just go with an open mind.

Go to Bora Bora in the afternoon into the evening. Free party with crazy international party people dancing under the sun. Can't beat that, now can you?

Well I haven't actually entered the premises, but this is the billboard just down from the office:
