As I wrote before
"NDSM was not a lot more than a catchy name. Bleepy-Tech-House-Lite for the masses, with, quite frankly, lazy schoolboy mixing.
But a nice enough crowd, and good fun all the same."
Though the crowd is proper johnny-come-latelys these days, even by Ministry standards.
Though it wasn't a bad night but the company made it, and certainly not the music or crowd, or temperature of the box.
The bar was a joke. Too hard music, Robert Owens taking half an hour to say "Your listening to Robert Owens" (yyyyyyyoooooooooooooouuuuuurrrrrr....."), which got, quite frankly, annoying. His only chance of redeeming himself would be to do the whole "I'm a real bad actor..." bit, but even then I thought it would have been too much of an epic moment to such a non-eventful evening.
Ministry never blows me away, and this was no different, but because of that, it's good to go with people, and take it for being in a club more to catch up on, rather than dance your socks off in.
Oh, and not sure if a certain DV comes on here, so I'll choose my words carefully when I say I was less than impressed with his set. When the break in Du What U Do comes in CUT THE PREVIOUS SONG OUT!
Hehe
Funny thing was, as I got deserted by my fellow comrades, yet didn't want to go to egg, I left the club to get a taxi home. Sorted out a price, jumped in cab, only to get a phoncall from another friend to say he was on his way and will be there in 5 mins, so I apologised, jumped out the cab, and went back in the club til closing, then to the NDSM afterparty in a toilet in Shoreditch til Midday
