So...the horn part is just at the beginning? And not all the way through the tune?! :?

i think during the beginning i havent heard it since ive been back. its hard to describe..........you know how hard it is to describe bleeps with no vocals:evil:

Ame are amazing. Seek out some Dj sets of theirs and prepared to be astounded. Unfortunately miss them at Monza by a week. Production wise, all the Innervision releases are very strong, and Ame's remix work is by far the best of the year so far if you are into deep soulful House music.

Some examples...(click to load a sample)

Marcus Worgull - "Dragon Loop"
(not Ame, but part of their crew and typical of the music they play)

Rodamaal feat Claudio Franco - Insomnia (Ame remix)

Akabu - Phuture Bound (Ame Remix)

Wahoo - Holding You (Ame remix)

Roy Ayers - Tarzan (Ame remix)

I believe they play Azuli at El Divino tomorrow night. Should go off.

i'd be goin off to sleep if i was hearin this minimal ****e in a club.

Its aimless, theres nothin to it. I could just imagine a packed club kinda swingin their hips just waitig for a bit of life to come through the speakers but instead waiting in sheer boredom!:spank:

Each to their own mate! I'm not really into the Åme sound either. A bit too sleepy for me

WAKE UP :spank::lol:

I had the minimal debate with a mate in ibiza last week, its makes a BIG difference when its being listened to on a good soundsystem.

I wasn't the biggest fan of Ame before I went out there... but I'd challenge you to not get up and throw shapes to Ame's mix of insomnia on Space's Funktion One soundsystem.

That is all

Are you guys on the same planet? How on earth could the above be described as minimal?

Minimal is the new buzzword attached to everything that isn't funky house.

i went to ibiza last year and i was disappointed with space. I was too minimal for me i had visions of a buzzing terrace with loads of vocals and quite funky but it wasnt like that at all both times i went. maybe i just went at the wrong time, but as you say, each to their own. I prefer a bit more uplifting stuff.

anyway back to the original post I was know its old but is it maybe

I dont throw shapes to anything....unless you were joking??

Throwing shapes is slang in my part of the world for dancing an a rave stylee...

Having googled it, it can also mean being aggressive.

I can assure you Ame - Rej doesn't make me aggressive.

(Now DJ Sammy on the other hand does!)

Aggressive? most of the time Ame makes me want to take a nap. However i do like a couple of remixes they've done eg. "Insomnia". Perhaps i just need to hear them on a better sound system or in a different mood, like mentioned above.
